Georgia refuses to play at Kyle Field conspiracy??

Disclaimer for Georgia fans, this isn’t my conspiracy.
I just read this article out staying their conspiracy about Georgia not going to College Station. I think this is the 3rd time we play Florida, and we’ve hosted every SEC East team but Georgia since joining the SEC.
When is Georgia supposed to make it to Kyle? I know next year we go to Tennessee, so for sure not next year either. Why is this writer implying it’s a conspiracy??

Here is the intro to the article:
quote:
“Hayes: No Georgia at Texas A&M? Why? Break out the conspiracy theories”
There is no lottery system. There is no secret code. Really, there isn’t. The SEC says there’s a formula, and it simply hasn’t rotated to Georgia playing at Texas A&M since the Aggies joined the conference in 2012 — despite the fact that every other league team has made the trip to College Station.
“I’ve given up trying to figure it out,” an SEC coach texted me Tuesday night. “We played through a pandemic. We can’t get Georgia at Texas A&M?”
SEC publicist Herb Vincent said there were 2 “bridge” years when Texas A&M and Missouri joined the league, so the current opposite division, non-permanent rotation didn’t technically begin until 2014.
The current SEC schedule includes 6 division games, and 1 permanent and 1 rotating crossover division game. The rotating crossover games are on a specific rotation, Vincent said.
“There are a number of games that haven’t been played yet since 2014,” Vincent said. “But there seems to be more focus on Georgia at Texas A&M.”
So there’s your official explanation. Now it’s time dig deep.
Cue the conspiracy music and plop that tinfoil hat on your head. Here. We. Go….

Of course the SEC did that for us. We’re the big dawg in the east. If you don’t like it you should try getting good

It's going to be hilarious when the new schedules drop with OU/TX and the 2024 game doesn't happen.
But seriously, no one cares or blames either A&M or Georgia for this.

So I’m confused, the SEC is withholding this match up bc it’s shopping the game around?

Teams that are undefeated against App State get to dictate such things.

Why hasn’t ATM been to KY? Or UF to AU? Who the hell knows?

We play better teams on their home turf. It’s not a conspiracy, just a scheduling problem.

I think we have. We’ve been to Florida for sure. The conspiracy is the SEC shopped the game around and ESPN won

simply math.
The schedules in the SEC were reset starting in 2014 (2012 and 2013 were a rush job to fit Mizzou and A&M in, it wasn't the normal rotation). UGA's schedule that year started with Arkansas, Alabama, OM, MSU, LSU and A&M (the full 6 team rotation). 2020 was the covid year, so the added teams don't really factor in, just the originally scheduled opponent, which for UGA was Bama (they are ahead of Arkansas because as teams are alternating home and away with these games, to get the reverse the teams switch places for each 2). 2021 was Arkansas. 2022 is MSU. 2023 is OM. If the rotation continues (assuming no Texas and OU entering yet to mix the schedule up), 2024 will be A&M and 2025 will be LSU (to complete the full home and home rotation that started in 2014).
Hope that explains it.

This was a strange article. We’ve known for almost a decade that it wouldn’t be until 2024 when UGA played at aTm.

You haven’t been to KY. UF hasn’t been to AU. South Carolina hasn’t been to Bama. Lots of shite like this

I’d personally love to watch those weirdos make fun of UGA the night before only to get the shite kicked out of them the next day.

TAMU is dodging UGA in this one. They figured playing Bama every year was enough and stipulated when they joined that they didn’t want to have to play UGA and Bama. Basically traded that for a vote on Texas joining.

Could happen, but those schedules are going to likely be a 3 permanent/6-rotating type schedule. My guess is UGA will end up playing at A&M either in 2024 or 2025 when those schedules come out. They'll likely play LSU in athens in one of those two seasons as well (those would be the two end of rotation teams for UGA). Same will likely hold true for all the other teams missing the last 2 years of the scheduling cycle if at all possible with the new schedule format.

Aggies have already played in Athens. The issue is UGA pussing out of coming to Kyle.

Georgia has always dodged the more difficult teams of the SEC, going back many decades.
When they won the SEC/NC in 1980, they didn't play any of the ranked SEC teams in the process. The only ranked team they played all year was #7 Notre Dame in the bowl. During Hershel Walkers entire career, he never once played a game against Alabama.
So it doesn't really have much to do with Kyle Field, it's just what Georgia does. Over the past 20 years, Alabama has played them a total of 6 times in the regular season.
Since 1965, Alabama has played Georgia only 16 times in the regular season. Basically, after bear went like 5-1 against them, they were like nah.
