Spurier had so many nuggets over the years - he was always good for a sound bite.

Yeah, but he seems to have backed off a little. I hope last season got him his swagger back and he gets back to ribbing all of the other coaches.

"...frickIN' ALABAMA!!" Les Miles '07

actually this is the whole quote.....but really the part above is all that matters.

"We're looking forward to playing Florida. We're looking forward to playing Auburn. But we have a new rival in fricking Alabama!"

yeah, I should have specified while he coached at UF, he was a quote machine. Definitely had some swagger in those days with the lines.

I think if you look at the defense and how they played and you remove a fake punt, a couple of long passes and their first drive — a mistake versus cover-2 (that allowed a 34-yard touchdown pass) — the defense played pretty well

"Lingerie on the field!" Verne Lundquist in 2007 when Knowshon Moreno outjuked the defense and his own FB blocking for him.

Also, Munson's two best lines IMO were "Man, is there going to be some property destroyed tonight!" and

"23,22, 21, and the clock's running, running, 11,10, 9, 8 ...oh look at the Sugar falling out of the sky! Look at the Sugar!"

Sorry LSU fans... If it helps, I always pull for LSU over Alabama, but you've gotta admit, that is a pretty damn good quote.

Miles' quote about spying Cam Newton this past year was great.

I don't remember what LB it was in the Goaline Stand that told Penn State's QB that they had better pass.
