I'm old enough to remember a swarm of Georgia fans making the trip to Nashville for a vandy game because Tennessee is the place to be in the south.

And whoever said Savannah is what Charleston wants to be has lost their minds. Holy shite those coeds in Charleston are hot.

I have lived in Atlanta for 16 years
It's not as nice as it was back then, not even close. It's taken a dive in the last 10 years.

When I retire I'm out, just like my coworkers. Got my eyes on northern Arizona... or tennessee.

I notice these georgia is utopia posts every time something awful happens to the Falcons, braves or dogs.

So, multiple times per week lately.

Charleston is way better. College of Charleston is a great school much better for coeds. The whole town is better. Savannah stole the market from Charleston.

Many people in Mobile (or west side of Alabama) will use I-10 to go to the east side of Alabama, it is quicker.

edit to add- the panhandle of Florida really is for all intents and purposes Southern Alabama anyway.

Florida is not a Southern State.

It absolutely is. Although once you get south of Orlando it doesn't seem like it.

This makes me think you've never been to that shithole of a state. The only redeeming quality is that it doesn't smell as bad as South Carolina.

Greenville is way underrated. Not the old textile town of 25 years ago. Really has grown in size and culture.

This is in fact why everyone hates Georgia fans. Atlanta is no different than any other big city and Georgia is no different than any other Southern state. I have lived here for 25 years. Everyone else has the same shite we do, they just don't have the traffic.

Really? Tell me what year a city in Alabama hosted the Olympics? How many Fortune 500 companies does Alabama have? The answer is zero. How did Alabama’s Major League Baseball team do this year? Oh yeah, your state is too shitty to have professional sports. I could go on and on.

Dallas is a sterile city without character.
San Antonio is a sewage ditch surrounded by restaurants. Your picture shows the widest part of the river. If it was in Asia, there would be wipe ropes all over the banks.
The Beaches are dirty and the water is brown.
The forests are mainly bushes and deformed trees.
The lakes are mainly drinking water reservoirs with very little landscapes.

Other than that it is a beautiful state.

I’ve been to Atlanta at least 20 times this year (was there for Aerosmith on Super Bowl weekend) and was in Rome and Savannah in February (stayed at the The Desoto and ate at Sorry Charlie’s). Went to Sunday final round of Fedex Cup at East Lake. Spent several weekends (including Labor Day weekend) on Lake Oconee in Eatonton this summer. It’s a great Southern state. Wouldn’t say it’s the best. I’ll take Nashville over Atlanta any day.
