One of your stats you threw out was number of Fortune 500 companies - you realize Houston alone has more Fortune 500 companies than the entire state of Georgia?

And your state started as a penal colony - great lineage

I know Texas has more Fortune 500 companies. Texas also lacks many of the things that I mentioned.

If Texas is in the conversation, it’s not even close... they are by far the best.

IDK man. Have you ever been to West Texas? It’s almost as shitty as Louisiana.

I know right....

I mean I don’t have any idea how this is actually a discussion. I love Louisiana, but I’m not going to sit there and make up stuff and say it’s better than Texas.

I’ll end this discussion.

What’s Georgia’s income tax rate?

Because Texas is at 0%.

You’ve got us there. West Texas is definitely not a picturesque place.

Good thing it has a shitload of oil & gas that have made Texas (in general) and A&M and UT (in particular) absolutely loaded.

I guess we should have put all that in the pretty areas.

Atlanta is 20 years behind Houston and Dallas. The downtown area when I went was very unimpressive. Looks like Fort Worth with 3 or 4 more buildings

Houston and Dallas might as well be Memphis and Cleveland. Ft. Worth is where the west begins.

Ok. Florida is not a Southern state. Part of it is but not most of it. It’s hot overpriced and mostly too crowded and too Hispanic. Texas is in the Southwest so not in discussion. N.C. hands down. It’s got everything you need and more smart people than the other dumb southern states. I’m from LA and live in MS so no affiliation with N.C. North GA should leave rest of GA.

Lol, so much triggering

If Houston and Dallas are Memphis and Cleveland, then the atl is Monroe, Louisiana.

Florida... End of discussion. See nothing but bama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas tags heading east on I 10 ever Friday. Never the other way.

As far as Florida man myth it is because of our state transparency law's in regards to crime which most states are too chicken shite to do the same. Lazy click bait journalist know it is easy web traffic for the low iq demographic.

Disagree. I made great money for 35 years in Atlanta, but have been in North Alabama the last 14 years and will never leave.

Sorry to break it to ya, but the Allman Brothers were born in Nashville.

Actually, one of the biggest motivations for them making music was seeing a concert at Nashville's Municipal auditorium.

Their first paying gig was being the house band at a Nashville dive called the Briar Patch.

It’s beautiful, with a lot of good jobs, insane amount of growth, and very low cost of living.

North AL is super underrated
