If you want to celebrate special needs DEI round playoff victories, go for it. Couldn't tell you exactly what it's like to play in one, because Georgia's never played in one.
But I do know that there's definitely a step up in competition after the DEI first round. Bama found that out the hard way. The two most embarrassing CFP performances in SEC history was Bama vs. Indiana and Tennessee vs. Ohio State, when Tennessee fans "took over" Columbus and learned how to make changes on Google Maps and Wikipedia.

Kirby has doubters now. Some people are fricking idiots. There is a large contingent of UGA fans who doubt Kirby Smart's decision making in having Mike Bobo as his OC. Its the nature of the beast....some folks can't be happy, some folks don't know a lot about football. My lovely bride questions why UGA runs the ball when they are getting stopped for 1 and 2 yard gains. She falls in the latter camp and does not understand what it takes to make consistent 2 yard stops and that the effort required not only causes a defense to cheat up and up and opens up some passing that effort in the first half turns those 2 yard runs into 7 and 8 yard runs when you are playing bully ball. I doubted Kirby Smart when Stetson Bennett was starting the first year and again when he came back for the second year. I learned my lesson LOL....Kirby Smart may fake a punt or some stupid shite at inopportune times but I am not in a position to doubt him any longer....and neither is anyone else.

SInce Saban retired, "But, we beat Georgia" has been Bama fan's biggest point of pride and about all there is to cling onto.
It's pretty frigging flattering to the Georgia program. This time 5 or 10 years ago, I never imagined that "But, we beat Georgia" would mean so much to Alabama fans and they'd cling so hard to it.

You haven't won a national title since 2022 and haven't come close to winning another. You haven't won a single playoff game under the new format while teams you scoff at have. Actually, the teams you say you've "left behind" have gotten closer to winning a national title the past two years than you have because they've actually won in the playoffs. Your only claim to fame is winning the conference title which I agree is a very good accomplishment. However, under the new landscape, the conference title doesn't have as much shine on it when the recent winner has yet to win a playoff game in the new format while other teams within the conference have. You're not as far in front of everybody as you like to think.
