I mean, Bama only has a playoff win under the new format bc the 3 TD loss in the SECCG clinched UGA’s bye and sent Bama to the wildcard round

Lol, the whole post was sad and pitiful. He couldn't even put 12 minus 4 together and realize that Georgia and Alabama both lost in the same round of the playoffs last season, except Alabama embarrassed the shite out of the SEC and the entire college football world was laughing at them.

that's a lot of words to dismiss the fact that we won.

I'm not addressing the outcome, I'm addressing the thought that thel poster is stating a degree of separation between programs that I don't think is accurate.

quote:

the OP would indicate otherwise. We've been, by FAR, the most successfull program both SEC and nationally over the last 5.5 years. That isn't even up for debate.

Your last championships were 21-22 and you haven't been trending in that direction. Matter of fact, actual results show you're trending away. We're going on year three of the new playoff format and you've yet to win a game though being in it for two straight years. While teams you say you've "left behind" have actually won games in the new playoff format.

You have about a year and a half before 21 and 22 are no longer apart of the "last 5.5 years" window you've chosen to look at. This is a what have you done for me lately sport. Like Bama fans were told many times over when we were on our run, "No body gives a crap about what happened five years ago". So, now the shoe is on your foot. No one really cares what happened in 2021 and 2022. We're not in 2021/2022 anymore, we're in 2026 and though you've won some conference championships since then, you've gotten further away from winning a national title than you've gotten closer. That's what great teams (or at least Alabama) are measured by from year to year. They don't keep pointing back five years ago...or so that's what we were always told....

You have got to drop this man you’d be better off if you just pointed out UGA and Bama were eliminated in the same round. Though even that is tenuous bc they were at least competitive in their game unlike Bama who was completely outclassed

Dear Georgia, please don't forget to thank the Oklahoma Sooners on your way to the SECCG.

I swear we must have a lot of teenage posters. Who freaking cares about anything in October under a playoff system. All that matters is getting an invite. Who is #1 or #12 means nothing especially since the early data has shown that teams getting bye’s lose more than they win.

If I’m a UGA fan or an Indiana fan or a Ohio St fan or a Bama fan or a Miami I’m feeling just fine because as long as I don’t lose 3 games I’m in the playoff. Heck, most teams still control their destiny. Sure, I understand it feels good to be ranked highly but look at last October’s rankings and see how that went.

Everyone just needs to relax and it will play out in front of us in December and January.

That’s literally the whole point of your thread, simple Sam. It’s just “we beat Bama.” “We replaced Bama as top dog.” UGA has a good team and program. Enjoy the ride. It won’t last forever, and definitely not as long as you think. It’s also never going to be recognized on the same level as Alabama is.
Beating UGa in the SEC championship in 23 was about a little more than the pups. You know, since it won a championship and sent us to the playoffs that year. I pointed it out because you said quite specifically that the NC after the 2022 season for UGA is when Alabama was left behind. Since then, the Tide has ended 2 big streaks for UGA, kept them out of the playoffs once, and beat them in their own stadium. UGA also has one SECCG victory over Alabama, and now one victory on the road. See now why it was mentioned?
Since the second national championship in 23, UGA has 0 playoff wins. They did kill off the FSU program, which was a nice thing to do for the Gators. It’s a program holding steady at very good, but not great. The UGA of today is definitely not at the same level as it was when they won a couple of NCGs, but neither is anyone else. Maybe this year, they get back to the mountaintop. Maybe they lose to OM again. You may just be fishing for validation. If so, have at it. However, if you are actually trying to make a real argument, you sound like something of a moron.

ETA: ok I saw your other troll post. You are just douche posting.

In my opinion the 2 greatest components of this banger of a thread is Spartanburg_Dawg, a literal retard who hasn't met a post yet that he couldn't desecrate grammatically. And vengeanceofbrain, a try hard failed troll who's been reduced to piggybacking off terrible Georgia shiteposts. This one deserves a spot on the mantel.

So, are you thinking this is getting under my skin? You making a complete arse of yourself is supposed to do what exactly? I’d imagine even most UGa fans are embarrassed at you. Did you even understand the post you are replying to? Are you aware that you continue to make the point of the poster who called your posts a desecration of grammar? Do you know the meaning of those words since you seem to operate at a ghetto childlike level?

For anyone trying to argue that Georgia hasn't been the team of the decade in college football, who the hell else would it be?

I'm pretty sure you mean two years in a row and sure as frick not five.

Georgia finished 1st in 2021 and 2022 and 4th in 2023.

Ohio State finished 6th in 2021, 4th in 2022 (lost to Georgia) and 10th in 2023.

Georgia won the only head-to-head matchup and has 2 national championships compared to Ohio State's one.

But some people will argue anything just for the hell of it.

Why does your argument end in 2023?
