I don't think that is the case. We lost at Georgia last season and we were fine. Nobody spiraled. The only thing is, if we lose, it makes other games (UGA, Texas, OU, etc.) more important.
I like our chances.

Win or lose, the team will drop it by the time they are walking back into the football offices Sunday morning and will turn attention to Florida.

Right, with a 9 game SEC schedule plus 1 P4 OOC game, teams are going to lose. It will be increasingly rare for a team to run the table. LSU has to show me some kind of passing game before I feel like they are CFP bound. That game against Clemson showed me that Kiffin is either scheming around Leavitt's weakness in the passing game or he is scheming to his players' strengths... possibly both.

Unless Louisville is awful, that win should give us 2 losses to play with - possibly 3 if they make the ACC championship.
Problem is I don’t see UGA or UT as a win unless defense makes a huge jump so that’s why we really need to win this one.

I have no idea what to expect. Sam Leavitt is reckless and a gunslinger for better or worse. I do absolutely love the LSU defense right now.
As I’ve said many times over the years on here for this game: just throw the stats out the window. It’s going to be a gruesome knife fight.

I know we have our opinions of Lane but take a look at Arkansas right now. Thank God Carter went after Lane and stole him right out from under Arkansas. They haven’t recovered since that happened

They're in a bad spot and I think it's telling.
If you're not on it with an NIL directive and showing up to the party late, it's going to be a long hard road to get competitive.

Pete press conference today on injuries: Sharif will do all the scout periods tomorrow. Kite will do some scout periods, not the whole practice. Tommy, Odom are back in.
