One of the biggest systemic collapses in college athletics I can think of outside of SMU in the 80s.

Happy to be on the winning side of it, but damn that's been a rough few years.

Bring in the next criminal gang leader. Hopefully they hire Deion soon so he can lead them right off a cliff. They can go back to being the girls school and we can forget that cess pool of a football program ever existed.

If they turn around after letting norvell go and hire deion they just need to shut the program down.

My recollection is Deion doesn't have a great relationship with the program anymore.

But he would be dangerous at FSU. Not as a gameday coach but as a recruiter who can pull a lot of NIL strings.

Only so much damage he can do at Colorado but the minute he goes to a bigger program he'll have perennial top 10 classes.

Unless they’ve already tabbed their next guy, I could see a scenario where this leads to one more year of norvell. The new AD would need to replace norvell before bowl season starts.

They’d be stupid to retread Jimbo.

If they want to move on from Norvell Deion should be their first call, and I don’t even like Deion that much.

They need an injection of energy into that program badly.

No problem there.

LSU ain't Ole Miss, and Florida State ain't no LSU

Boy, both of these would just keep them in the losing column....

I'm pretty neutral about FSU, so I don't care... but if these are the best options, ouch...

Only a Bowden can save the school.

Tommy Bowden is well rested and ready to fill Bobby’s oversized jumbo hat.

You know we are...

Texas A&M Jimbo Fisher Fired by ESPN agreed to pay Jimbo Fisher a record-breaking buyout of more than $76 million when they fired him as head football coach in November 2023.

Buyout Payment Terms Initial Lump Sum: $19.2 million due within 60 days of termination.

Annual Installments: $7.2 million paid annually through 2031.

No Offset: The agreement contains no offset or mitigation clause, meaning Fisher keeps the full amount even if he takes another job.

Funding: The money is funded through donor contributions via the school's 12th Man Foundation and athletic department funds.
