He had like 250 against LSU in our 2007 championship year. He was unstoppable. Period. Rarely have I ever seen something like that. 92,000 people knew what was going to happen and we couldn't stop it.

jesus, the man had 320?
We had 542 total RUSHING yards that game. It was nuts.

321, 1 yard shy of breaking the single game rushing record. Instead he tied it.

Actually, he had the record that night...initial stat was 324 yds...later changed to 321....

The stat lines at the end of that game were hilarious
McFadden - 32 for 206 and 3 TDs
Jones - 9 for 85
Hillis - 11 for 89 and 2 TDs (2 Receiving TDs)
Casey Dick - 10/18 for 94 and 1 TD
.....and to make it worse.....
McFadden - 3/6 for 34 and 1 TD

We don't know that yet. Gurley's pretty damn solid.
Yes, we do know that.
McFadden is probably the best RB in this conference since Bo Jackson.

jesus. i remember him as a freshman breaking a run for 70+ against us and I was like holy hell. i mean, i love gurley but idk if he'll ever touch DMC. hate to say it, but even before i knew these ridiculous stats i thought that. but 321? holy shite balls
Posted on 5/10/13 at 2:29 pm to Damn Good Dawg
Gurley is good, but DMAC did what he wanted to some very good teams.

I was at that game and remember it was at that point that I realized how badass McFadden was.
If you havent heard Larry Munson's call of that run here it is. Larry's DMAC call
RIP Larry.

well said. i love gurley and i really think he's our best back since hearst but DMAC literally is unparalleled. gurley is a great athelete but it'd be unfair to compare him to mcfadden. i don't agree with those who said felix jones is better but i'll easily and gladly concede mcfadden

i remember i was on a class trip in HS or 8th grade and i was on a bus to i think williamsburg and we were all huddled around my mini TV watching the game and a radio with larry and we were all amazed. i mean, yall saw our secondary, NO one expected that burst. unreal. and i love that some arky fans put up larry saying that, classy and pretty cool

I
at all of the love for Felix Jones. He was one of the most overrated players in recent history. Gurley is quite a bit better than Jones. Most of Felix's yards came on goober sweeps after decoys to DMac.
DMac
Gurley
Marshall = Jones - both look better than they really are because of the team around them.
Before y'all say it; I do not think Yeldon is better than DMac. He is even with Gurley so far IMO.

I'm still holding my breathe on Gurley to actually hit his peak
Kid did all that without a year in the weight program or knowing the playbook. He could be the best we've had since Herschel, far surpassing Hearst and Knowshon. As good as McFadden? Doubtful, but simply because of what he has around him. Arkansas never could have dreamed of the total offensive play makers UGA has this year while McFadden was there.

I used to live in Augusta and went to several UGA games when Zeier/Hearst/Hastings were playing and I loved me some Munson.

How exactly did McFadden do that to your defense and not beat Alabama where he did virtually the same thing?

I don't know what this has to do with Alabama. But every game is different I guess? Been huffing a lot of paint today? Your comment doesn't make much sense.

Y'all scored last. McFadden single handedly put the team on his back in the '07 Alabama game, got a minor concussion, then still scored two TDs in the 4th quarter and ended up with 195 yards.
McFadden didn't lose the Alabama game, our horrible defense did.

i agree we have yet to see Gurley's potential and shite, he may get to that level, but i think ya nailed it. and i think we are in for a treat because of what you said, these guys have so much more around them than mcfadden and jones. i hate on our guido shite QB a lot but he's a damn fine QB and miles ahead of casey dick or whatever dick was starting. we just have a lot more around these guys. it's exciting!
