Keith Marshall (@Truthh4) & Todd Gurley (@TG3II) had 2144 yards in 2012. 405 more than Darren McFadden and Felix Jones in their 1st season.

As you were. .

DMac and Felix Jones played on FAR worse teams than Gurshall will ever play on.

This was actually one of the things that started Nutt's downhill slide with the fanbase. They were obviously the two best players on offense but yet Nutt kept playing De'Arrius Howard early in the season.

I bet they don't touch McFadden's and Jones SO and JR seasons however.

There's a nice base layer of Grade "A" shite on the floor of this thread. They'll flock to it in no-time.

McFadden/Jones So. season...2815yds & 20 TD's...( 438 carries...)

Gurley/Marshall Fr. season...2144 & 27 TD's... (339 carries...)

It could happen, TD's should be more but TTL ydg. with Murray as QB will be a long shot...

Get back to me at the end of this year if they're anywhere close to their sophomor numbers.

then no, they won't come close. If we gave Gurley 30 carries a game, I could see him getting over 1,700. But he's going to split way too much time. The thing with Marshall, as we saw crystal clear last year, is that he has potential to house it from anywhere which will help him. But I just don't see him getting 12 or 13 or 1400 yards. I'm actually shocked he got 800+ last year.

A couple of REALLY big games obviously helps. Like you said he can rip off HUGE runs. I think he had multiple 70+ yarders last season. Something we haven't really had from the tailback spot.

After the season I made a Marshall-centric post, don't have the want to go look for it. I think he had something like 3 or 4 75+ yard runs. Obviously that'll add up yards quick.
