I literally just said that.

And again, I acknowledged that Alabama had a lot more championships. Wow. You guys are coming unglued two weeks after the game?

Congrats. Everybody knows what Alabama has done. But, we did it this year. You don't have to show your rear end.
My initial response (which wasn't even to you) pointed out the fact that Saban is THE best at winning national championships. Seems odd you'd be this sensitive following a national championship, but then again you've experienced a 41 year championship drought so I shouldn't be surprised that you've become just another ornery old man

Some fans are going to have to make Georgia the villain to justify the loss. Better to accept it and move on.
Bask in the championship!!!

no qb can play if you get pressure on them, look what happened to Brady yesterday.
True. So Georgia made him look bad by getting pressure on him....right? I mean we didn't the first game and he obviously feasted. Check my post history. The only time I MIGHT have been less than complimentery to Young was when I was questioning one of our own posters for belittling Stetson Bennett. Even then I said Bryce Young was better.
If High Tide wants to act otherwise I could always post my comments concerning Bryce Young.

We were better than Bama in 2021, we were deeper.

quote:I know he was dinged up a bit while here....but imo, too many people attribute that to toughness too quickly. Maybe it is, maybe not.
As for Burton, he's not going to be as big an addition as you think he is. Insider info tells me he has no toughness, wouldn't play through minor injuries and was kinda passed up because of it. He'll make some plays for Bama, no doubt but he's not Jameson Williams good.
He played well while at Georgia, and if he does stay healthy will flourish in their offense. If you check my post history, I try to be as fair and even handed as possible. I get a lot of Georgia fans mad at me because of this, but it is what it is.

And yet the vast majority of our posters have congratulated Alabama on the pickup. Maybe one or two did not,
I'm not replying to the "vast majority of posters"
I replied to just one.
Then I replied to you when you lost your shite about my response.
Clearly, I hit a nerve lol

It's amazing sometimes. However, I am actually enjoying showing some of the hypocrisy. It's kind of fun posting from a position of strength for a change.
It's been a long, long time. I am enjoying it. I do envy all of Alabama's success, but some of them can't seem to accept that they can't win it every year.

Sensitive?

Yes. That was me you replied to to say that "Congratulations on your first National Championship."
Question. Do the National Championships that Alabama won before you were born still count? or do they just count if you were alive?
Clearly I hit a nerve.
What are you going to come up with next?
"You mad!"?
Now. Would you like to talk about all your excuses, or are you just going to ignore those?

Look at Updyke as the model for fans who cannot cope. Most fans are not like that, but some have tied a lot of their esteem into the success of the program they cheer for to the point it is not healthy.
Some will never believe they lost, be it because of injuries, officiating etc.
I hope we get both Alabama and AU shifted into the same division or pod as Georgia post expansion. I think that would make for some awesome rivalries and entertainment.

Oh yea, we're on the same page. I wasn't really being critical of your posting. I was just basically making generalized statements and such.
Unrelated, but I think the Burton transfer has something to do with Stetson staying as well. Receivers just aren't excited to play with the guy I don't think.
Part of me thinks his transfer also signals we're out of it for the Caleb Williams sweepstakes. Can't imagine he'd leave if we were getting Williams I don't think.

I hope we bring in a bonafide QB coach and develop BVG and Stockton.

I agree with everything you said. 100%.
It's been strange. Most Alabama fans have been very gracious up until now. It's almost as if it is finally settling in and they realize we won the game.
I mean, I have watched and AS A WHOLE, i think Georgia fans have been pretty low key considering it's been 41 years. There's been a couple that have trolled, though. I'm shocked at how low key most have been, though.

You won. I don't think UGA beats Alabama with Williams and Metchie, but injuries are part of the game. That's the way it goes. Indeed, if you watch SEC Shorts, maybe Hope finally took pity on UGA , because he finally caught all the breaks. He might have been one yard from not even being in the playoffs considering the score in Atlanta and the resumes of the other teams involved.
Saban knows it's going to be UGA again, and it might have to be twice again. So he's amassing as much firepower as he can. Bama has a much tougher road than Georgia to get back to Atlanta too.

We'll see.It was a cakewalk in '18 and '20 and beyond A&M (who didn't even finish in the top 25) I don't see many obstacles.

I get that. And had we lost we would probably say we could have won if we had all of our players. If you check in one of my posts above you will see we were missing 3-4 of our top WRs to start the game, with one or two a long way from being healthy but played anyway. I get it. But losing Adam Anderson would be close to the same as Y'all losing Will Anderson. (No. I am not saying Adam A. is as good as Will A... I am saying they would have a similar affect to the team/defense)
Plus we were missing an All American defensive back and a couple of CBs.

I was told they were all 4 and 5 stars and our production shouldn't have dropped a bit during the title game.
Seems like they should have rotated receivers a bit more during the year so those guys were a bit more ready to go. Obviously they won't be all-american level right out of the gate but no reason they should have been dropping all the balls etc.

Very rude for Kirby to beat Saban in the National Championship Game after everything he's done for him. He has to pay.

This makes perfect sense!
Saban does tend to do pretty well when it comes to payback, though.

No. You literally said "your first championship" while you were responding to me.
And yet just one centimeter down from that in the exact same post, I said this...

Amazing how the mind deteriorates with age I guess.

I responded to Alacowboy who replied to a comment that another poster made about Saban being the best at anything the NCAA comes up with. My reply to Alacowboy apparently triggered you to immediately reply to me.
I never replied to you, until you replied to me...unless you're admitting to being Alacowboy.

I did no such thing lol.
I said if you want to come at a Bama fans sideways, don't be surprised when you get roasted in return for being devoid of success for the better part of the last half a century. I never said anything about the other UGA fans in this thread but I can see how you're trying to backpedal and push that narrative I guess

Maurice Smith says hi and that dude was tampered with like a M'fr. This was legit.
I mean, Smith was a graduate transfer so it’s not completely apples to apples.
But Burton does have the right to go where he wants, and y’all got a great player. But lets not act like there wasn’t tampering here either. There were rumors during the season that he was going to transfer to Bama after the season was over. That doesn’t happen if there’s zero contact made.
Again, that’s just the way the game works nowadays, so it is what it is, but when these kids are thinking about transferring, they’re absolutely talking to teams before they’re in the portal.
