Had my first colonoscopy a couple months ago, age 47. It’s not nearly bad as it’s made out to be. That liquid drink wasn’t that bad, wasn’t good but not what I thought… the fasting and drink is the worse of it

His performance in 2010 at home against an absolutely loaded Alabama team will always standout in my mind when thinking of him.
All the best, hope to hear he’s recovered soon.

So many younger people getting stage 3/4 cancers. Would be amazing if our resources went to problem solving instead of blowing up women and children across the world

Wow this inspired me to finally get a checkup. Been putting it off because I’m a hypochondriac.
You are not a hypochondriac...
A hypochondriac would be at the proctologist's door as soon as he opened because he would be convinced that he had cancer.
You sound like you are just a normal guy who is just a little leery of somebody putting something up your butt while you are asleep.

My neighbor who is in his 60s was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Unfortunately, he is not tolerating well the chemo and radiation treatments. He has gone down significantly over the past month and it's sad to see.

35, especially if you have any conditions making you susceptible or increasing your risk.
They really aren’t that bad.
Prayers for Garcia, the guy was fantastic.

He seems to young for this..wonder what happened? Seems like he is 30 or 40 years to young for it. Sucks for sure though.

Best thing to do until then is be aware of family history
This is extremely important. My grandfather died from colon cancer. I got my first colonoscopy five years earlier than recommended and the doctor was able to remove a pre-cancerous polyp before it turned into full blown cancer. If you have cancer in your family, tell your doctor and get your screenings!!!

fricking awful man.
Yeah, I’m calling my doctor first thing in the morning and going to try and get tested. I’m not old enough yet but this did it for me. I might just pay out of pocket for the peace of mind

So sad. What a great player. Hope the best for him.

Not sure how much "regular screenings" would help SG. They dont recommend you start getting them until 40, he's only 38. Meaning, unless he was having issues with his stomach or bowel movements, there wouldn't be any reason for him to get one.
Fortunately/Unfortunately for me, I was having health issues and was prescribed a colonoscopy when I was 33. They found some precancerous polyps and I have been getting a scope every few years since. They just took out 6 more precancerous polyps during my last one. The y really needed to lower the age to like 30 for your first one.

That was seriously over the line. Stick to the Tittman and Bobby P gifs. I hope that you or nobody in your family or that you care about ever suffer cancer.

I’m due for one this year. It’s a breeze once you finish the prep. My doc actually allowed me to have veggie broth to help out with the 24 hour fast. As posted earlier, once your bowels run clear, you can ease up on the prep.
Just be prepared to be the entertainment for your significant other as you come out of anesthesia. My late wife regaled anyone who would listen about my remarks in the recovery unit!

You’re still a piece of shite for using his cancer diagnosis as a chance to troll Alabama. Congrats though
