"They mean it never sees the light of day in the public."
If ANY student commits a crime, it's reported in the newspaper. If their behavior is bad, but doesn't reach the level of a crime, they may be punished, but nothing is publicized...what's wrong about that?

I actually attended Alabama. When a football player got in trouble it was big news. They plastered that shite all over the school newspaper and the Tuscaloosa News.
He thinks stuff like that only happens at Bama and not LSU.

again, I was only clarifying what he meant by the term "sweeping it under the rug." The remainder of everything you said is irrelevant. I never said I believe Alabama does or doesn't sweep things under the rug and even said as much. Try actually reading my post before getting offended.

I don't care what them boys do after they play out their time at Bama. As long as they win the games I care about what they do in the NFL don't bother me one bit. They grown men and coach can only do what he can do when they here. After that its on them.

Amen. Most of those kids had opportunities available to them that they wouldn't possibly have had doing something else. At UA, Saban all but MAKES them become responsible, successful adults. For the few that drop through the cracks...it's on them.

Can assure you its 100% the former. The support system in place is as remarkable as the rest of what Saban‘s built. Its close to a military academy..many players’ entire days are scheduled from early wakeup to tutors after dinner. Some struggle once they leave that.See Ro McClain
Basically, Alabama players are extremely immature due to the fact that Saban restricts everything they do while there for 3-4 years. Once they get out from under the Gestapo regime, they go nuts.
Similar to kids who have been raised in a very strict household and then go off the deep end once they move out.

Lowery says the opposite. Responsibility isn’t a choice under Saban. You have to follow his strict protocol, not because you want to, but because you have to.
Once they leave, they don’t have that supervision, and mistakes start piling up. Saban basically removes the ability for those kids to learn from their own mistakes and they leave Alabama unprepared for unsupervised life.
You couple that with a huge payday, and huge problems start to show up in their lives.

They should learn responsibilty on their own, which is the main point in my post; whether you meant that in yours, I have no idea.
The other question is whether or not Saban cares about that end result after the players have served his purpose.

2) If you ask his former players, you'll get a pretty good idea.

I agree, he should run his program like 0. He gets results.

And I am saying you dont have "proof" situations werent swept under the rug
As a logical argument, this is about as stupid as it gets.
Example: I am convinced that lsupride87 beats his wife. He needs to prove to use that he did not. And all you people who disagree are deniers and are sweeping his actions under the rug. Quit being enablers of this heinous activity!

Yeah that wasnt Gus that was Chizick. Gus never suspended star QB Nick Marshall after he was busted with pot (coming off Nick's criminal history sounds like he knew he would get away with it)
He was suspended the first half of the first game of the year which was against Arkansas. If Jeremy Johnson doesn’t play lights out the 1st half we could have very well lost the game.
