Once they leave the system in Tuscaloosa.

Ross Tucker tweeted out the following:

quote:

Reuben Foster has been kicked out of the Combine, failed a drug test, & arrested twice since going pro but never got in trouble at Alabama?

Bama either has the best support system of all time or does a great job keeping things quiet. Or both.

To which Will Lowery responded with this:

quote:

Can assure you its 100% the former. The support system in place is as remarkable as the rest of what Saban‘s built. Its close to a military academy..many players’ entire days are scheduled from early wakeup to tutors after dinner. Some struggle once they leave that.See Ro McClain

i don't doubt there's some of that but it's pretty obvious to everyone that Bama sweeps a lot of shite under the rug too.

And i'm not even criticizing you for it. IMO LSU is way too strict on dumb stuff. If we had just let TM7 smoke his weed then 2012 might have gone a lot differently.

yea a military academy that has multiple guys get arrested every offseason.

Pretty much every major college football player has a full day every single day .

It's not obvious to me.

I was at school at Alabama from '08-'12. The TPD was very invasive and aggressive. They didn't care who you were. Even Nick Saban's daughter got the business from them on at least one or two occasions from what I heard.

When a football player got in trouble it made it on the front page of the Crimson White and the Tuscaloosa News.

Sweeps what under the rug? I see people getting arrested and in trouble every year for stupid shite.

The only thing Saban doesn't do is suspend people for games, which is really nothing more than PR and is pretty stupid overall.

Unless you think Will Lowery is sleeping at night with Reuben so girls couldn't come over for him to beat the shite out of

Well we both know what people think of your intelligence on this website, so it's not like you're an authority either.

I actually attended Alabama. When a football player got in trouble it was big news. They plastered that shite all over the school newspaper and the Tuscaloosa News.

So when a football player was made public about getting in trouble, it was news

That’s not unique to Bama; almost every college athlete at every school has a heavily regimented daily schedule with little down time. It’s arguably one of the reasons college athletics hinders not helps the educational side, there’s no spare time for students to consider doing something other than their sport.

And I'm saying you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about nor proof of any "situations" being swept under the rug. And I'm sure I would have heard about it as a good friend of mine actually worked in the AD from 2009-2011. His job had him working in very close proximity to the players.

It isn't just Alabama players... and it is why some have advocated for exit programs to teach these "kids" with degrees how to do things like buy groceries, balance a checkbook, pay bills etc etc. small realworld stuff that they are ignorant about.

Nonsense. Everyone was knows Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones were arrested for drugs and weapons, we're also aware they weren't suspended.

point guns at others is something everyone should learn. gun safety should be a priority.

I think you attending Alabama doesn’t speak well for your IQ either. Put down the stone and go back in your glass house.

Definitely no time to get caught in your car with weed and stolen guns.

It’s hard to get in trouble when your the first one in last one out, real gym rat, coaches son.
