Can assure you its 100% the former. The support system in place is as remarkable as the rest of what Saban‘s built. Its close to a military academy..many players’ entire days are scheduled from early wakeup to tutors after dinner. Some struggle once they leave that.See Ro McClain

except he caused trouble at bama with no discipline handed out. Others have beaten women and never missed a game. It's not the "support system" as much as "turn the other way" with the upper echelon football players at bama. They feel entitled and have nobody to hide their misdeeds when no longer in school.

Gus sat our four year starting center for getting a public intoxication for walking home drunk. I have never once heard of an Auburn football player committing a violent crime with zero discipline handed out.

........now go stick your head back in the sand.

That Miles actually managed to keep TM7 eligible as long as he did is a minor miracle.

He kept him eligible because Miles said he was going to be eligible. Did the same thing with Brad Wing. Again, chutzpah coming from "Team Vote U"

Yeah that wasnt Gus that was Chizick. Gus never suspended star QB Nick Marshall after he was busted with pot (coming off Nick's criminal history sounds like he knew he would get away with it)

Even Nick Saban's daughter got the business from them on at least one or two occasions from what I heard.

I'm sure he gave them his blessing. Most good parents hold their own to higher standards than they do other people's kids.

While the typical player greatly benefits from the structure at Alabama, the ones who aren't truly punished for their off the field activities seem to go really wild once they get out from under the structure and have money and freedom. It has hurt the draft status of several players, because Saban won't reveal who these players are to the scouts and there have been misses on both sides of players perceived to be trouble or not that were incorrect.
This is total bullshite!
Firstly, ALL schools have kids that fit into that category, and create problems for themselves and the team that drafts them. Secondly, pro teams KNOW which kids are potential problems and are trouble prone...hell, they have investigators that run background checks and inquiries on any kids they're interested in and know more about them than most of their colleges coaches do.

this just proves that Alabama doesn't have student/athletes.

college students lives aren't supposed to be that structured.

Thank you. Thank you so much for that. For those of us who weren't convinced already, you just proved to us that you're a moron. You don't prove a negative, dumbass.

Is there a growing negative perception about Bama players concerning character, intelligence, and health (injuries or just worn out)?

The girlfriend also accused him, in a separate incident, of slapping her face, pushing her into a closet and instructing her not to leave until he was gone. Johnson later called the house and told the woman she could leave the closet, Bacala said.

Swept under the rug is a big reason, everybody does it.. some better than others.

Alabama is committed to winning, can't argue with that.

Add'l factor is the presence of money and entitlement. Money puts them in higher profile situations and opportunities. The League is networked a lot different than college programs.. more "next man up" vs hiding things.

He didn’t carry her away...
And was nice enough to call “the house” to tell her it was ok to leave.
You can’t make this stuff up!
