he 4 seed has also won it twice.

How about the #12 seed? How many times would you guess they would win it?

This is not the point. Just look at Auburn and their basketball program after going to a final 4. For some of these schools it would be huge just to win a playoff game. Why are you going to deny them that?

There are probably 10-15 basketball teams that could make the finals if they git hot at the right time.

There are usually only 2-3 CFB teams that have a real shot at a championship.

Although the number 4 team won it twice in the first 4 years of the playoff. Seriously I don't think very many of you have thought this through. The arguments against expansion are embarrassing.

I am not sure what your point is here?

I can't think of a single team ranked below #4 that deserve a shot at the title.

Come at me bro? Where is my logic faulty?

You don't even have to be a marginal fan to know how poorly ND has always performed in the Playoffs/BCS. They are the poster children for non-expansion arguments.

Your argument just lost what little credibility it may have had.

Both Michigan and Alabama lost to a lower ranked team than Notre Dame did.
They both made the playoffs.

Losing to a top 4 team is not bad especially when the others lost to a lower ranked team.

Playoff needs 12 teams.

4 highest ranked teams get a bye

The other 8 play on higher seeded team home field.

Then the final 8 can play in the bowls already designated for championship play

The rankings are clearly just the committee’s desired matchups. They have nothing to do with who would be favored in the games.

It would seem a little pre-Christmas basketball regular season game in Tuscaloosa against a team that isn't Power 5 and isn't even in the top 10 seemed to matter a whole bunch.

It didn’t. Both teams will
Make the tournament.

Atlanta is 6-7 and has a chance to make the playoffs. No one wants that

Add 2 spots.
1and 2 get a bye..others play quarter finals. 8-12 is too many. 6 is plenty
