The SEC would definitely need to get into North Carolina/Viginia if expansion becomes reality again.

Why? Nobody watches UNC and UVA. FSU and Clemson are better additions

I think that's the right list, though the SEC may need to be flexible with the #4 spot.

Offer UNC a school of its choice (Duke or NCST) in order to get UNC to join.

Don't think so. At the end of the day, the best SEC teams, for awhile now, will beat the best Big 10 teams. Maybe it will happen this year, but until it does, a bunch of names on paper doesn't mean anything.

Remember who sat out Covid. BIG and PAC-12. ACC teams need to remember that.

BIG finally played about half a season PAC less than that but we’re pushed into it by SEC, ACC and once Big 12.

I’d be fine with NC State and VPI.

I have too much regard for our USC fans to saddle them/us with Clempsum.

Size doesn’t matter as much as results. The best football is in the SEC and Oklahoma is worth more than the whole PAC-12 when it comes to results.

Those fanbases will slowly lose interest in football because they are unable to win championships.

outside of a few fan bases the majority of the west liberal coast does not give a shite about college FB per capita like the SEC states and some of the ACC states. They cant even get a good TV deal for the pac least right now

Because FSU and Clemson fans already watch SEC games due to Florida and South Carolina. They provide no additional value from a tv viewership standpoint.

Clemson and FSU averaged 2.59M and 2.03M viewers per game last year, respectively. UNC and UVA were 849k and 247k.

Clemson games were 10 times more valuable than UVA games last year.

I could see Notre Dame potentially giving up independent status and engaging with the Big 10.

LMAO.

1. Notre Dame hates the Big 10 and loves independence.
2. If Notre Dame ever decides to join a conference in football, they are contracted to the ACC under that same grant of rights contract. They would forfeit millions to drop their independence and then forfeit millions more to pay off the ACC.

In other words, this is not happening.

Damnit. Quit suggesting these two. Terrible fit culturally.

Seems that the Longherns have more fictional fans than they do actual fans these days.

What can I say? It must be a hot commodity to be posing as a Texas fan on this board since Texas typically dominates the topic of threads on the first page anyway

I would choose VA Tech over liberal arse UVA any day. I don't know if there is any school in NC that is a fit culturally... maybe App State and their 30k seat stadium. Boone is cool though.

Quantity does not equal quality. The SEC would still dominate that conference.

I could care less about any other conference adding another 10 schools to look 'Big'. I like the SEC with the 16 teams we will have. Everyone knows to win a college football championship they'll have to go through Athens, Tuscaloosa,Red Stick, Norman, Austin, Auburn, Knoxville Gainesville, Fayetteville, College Station, USC, COMO, both MS schools, Lexington and Nashville. In other words I like our setup!
