UGA was a tough team and shut down Texas on offense but Texas' D was much better.
Probably one of the greatest Defenses of all time.
Our defense and Keven Butler carried the team all year.

Also, LSU was 9-3 in the previous 12 seasons against Alabama leading up to the game
How many of those wins were from Saban?

Six were, but I don’t see why it matters. On the topic of counting things, how many of your tweets are racist comments towards opposing teams’ recruits?

Your post count is a palindrome.
Don't mess it up. Ever.
ETA: and that was my 10,644 post! Double interesting!

Richt averaged 10 wins a year - minus a fraction or two. He was there 15 years. After his first so so season Kirby is having great success and the future looks bright. No one wins them all. Just ask Bama. I seem to recall them getting smacked by ole miss twice and that Clemson game was embarrassing. Not only for them but for the SEC

The 99 SECCG. Shaun Alexander didn't even have a good game.

ULM and Utah were WAY more embarrassing than getting your arse kicked in a National Championship game. We ran in to a great team that played like they wanted it more. The score sucked, yes, but I didnt find it that embarrassing compared to those other 2 games.

Arkansas losing to Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl after the 06 season is the least excusable Arkansas loss ever. That’s easily the best Arkansas team I can ever remember. That was a weird year. LSU looked like the best team in the country from what I remember but they didn’t even win the division.

We hardly got our arse kicked. You have a very short memory. It was close and if not for a miracle last minute play the result would have been very different. Georgia kicked Bamas arse all over the field for most of that game.

Les should've let Jimbo do his thing sooner in the season. We were fortunate that the SECCG wasn't a rematch.
And then of course there's the no-call PI in the Auburn game...

1st of all, there's no way we would be that lucky...ever. And I'm pretty sure he has no idea what that is, sooooo.

1981 Bill Curry's Ga Tech yellow jackets go 1-10.
That 1 win was 24-21 over Alabama.
Any given Sat you best show up.

I never said Georgia. I was talking about our Clemson game. That you mentioned

The NC and last 2 SEC matches with Bama
Going to go out on a limb and guess you left out the words championship game here... Because the last time we played Bama in the regular season (more recent than 2012) we got curb stomped... The loss wasn't surprising, maybe the way we lost, but that was a flawed team for sure.
quote:
We had them on the ropes and didn’t make the critical play at the end. We were the equal or better team in each of these games
It's comments like this that make some of our posters look like idiots. 2012 we had a lot go right early but Bama was a better and deeper team. It showed eventually.
You could argue that the last two we were more on even footing, but decidedly at a coaching disadvantage. That's not a knock on Kirby, he's just not as experienced as Saban and it showed up as the game rolled on. Great initial gameplans with an inability to either anticipate the counters from Saban, or at a minimum not having answers for them.
My sincere hope is that 1) we have someone that has 100% responsibility for deciding when and how to call fakes/trick plays and his name is not Kirby... And 2) there is a staffer who has full time responsibility to remind Kirby that some teams have talented backups that we need to account for as well...
