And were gifted that lead too, Murray was obviously short on that 4th down where y'all took the lead.

and there was a massive hold where our DL was tackled to the ground on the hail mary pass, play never should have even happened.

I've never seen a fanbase bitch and whine so much before about a supposed missed call in a game you won. It's not a good look.

Utah 2008. That night just sucked. I got engaged right before that game, and the game was pretty symbolic of my marriage.

There's not one defenitive replay angle that shows him "short"

Of all fan bases, Auburn seems to enjoy being rude the most. It's never "here's information that caused me distress, and this is how I feel about it". It's usually something like: "Nick Fairley was not a dirty player!"

And to clarify, this is simply how the majority are perceived. I know Auburn, as a school and city, has good people.

You'd consider lying kind? You don't think too hard, do you? Probably for the best, don't want to cause any damage.

They were #2 and 11-0 going into that game. #1 Nebraska lost that night in the Orange Bowl and they would've been the only undefeated team left.

Remember the Maine. Sly Croom getting beat at home to Maine who may not have had an "athlete" on the whole team. Croomed.

That Maine team went 4-8 that year. Croom said in the press conference he knew Maine was going to win because they were better. Many in the fanbase were ready to fire him that night, and rightfully so.

He did end up beating Florida that year. Many will disagree, but Sly Croom was the worst coach in SEC history. Alabama token interviewed him and recommended him to Larry Templeton. How they did it without laughing is a great mystery of the SEC.

State should have beaten Cam and Auburn the year they won it all. That's another one that sticks out that we should have won. 17-14 and two dropped touchdowns.

Lots in the media drug us through the mud for not hiring him

Miami wasn't really Miami then either.
They played a Nebraska team that wasn't winning many big bowl games in the 1980's.
Miami wins the NC and blows up.

Truthfully Texas, Auburn, Florida and Georgia were the best 4 teams in 1983.
Florida killed Miami earlier in the year.

2017 UCF (First time Auburn had lost to a non P5 school since Brett Farve. Thanks again Gus!)

I don't think this one fits like the others on your list. That UCF team was no joke, and you sort of had to expect that Auburn probably hadn't prepared like they needed to given how the season ended.

That was a better team than the one LSU beat this past bowl season. Mike Hughes was a stud corner and return man, Shaquem Griffin was a great college player, and Tre'Quan Smith and Jordan Akins were both 3rd picks.

2013 national title against FSU

after Auburn went up 21-3 I didn’t doubt for a second they would win until they didn’t

Last year South Carolina and Kentucky.

Two gut wrenching losses that we definitely should have won.

Most recent anyway lol

2007 Michigan Capital One Bowl. Tebow year and but that Michigan team was motivated even with the loss to App St.

2004 Miss St.

2008 OM at home although the offense had struggled prior to that game to a degree and then went HAM after that game.

The 1972 Auburn game. Auburn's offense couldn't have scored a TD against Alabama in their wildest dreams....so in the 4th quarter they block TWO punts and run them into the end zone and win 17-16....shite happens.
