Do you have a link to a reputable website with all of this information or is this water cooler gossip?

Slive decided to wait.

That decision proved extremely lucrative for the commissioner and the rest of the SEC. The conference later added Missouri and Texas A&M in 2011, increasing the SEC's cable television footprint by more than 10 million homes, according to Nielsen data, and giving Slive the ammo he needed to move forward with a network.

No, no, NO.

Aggy adds ZERO value, texag7. None. Nada.

I think the SEC should kick Aggy out and add the nutless bovines.

Let's put it to a vote.

I would like to see OKL. and Okl. St. join the SEC. It would add to the t.v. market. It would make the Conf. stronger. It would also open up recruiting in Okl. and Texas for more SEC schools.

Spoken like a true elitist prick Texan. SEC network goes down regardless. Texas A&M brings huge market but don't act like we weren't moving on without you. Someone was going to get your spot. You should be thankful that your admin finally broke their balls out.

The PAC is the only conference positioned to take OU, OSU, and Texas. More likely is a merger between the Big 12 and a lesser conference.

I believe the "end game" for Texas and possibly OU is to have a semi-autonomous relationship with the Big 12 as ND does with the ACC.

By the way, I agree with you.

A&M and Missouri made he SECN more profitable by adding huge markets of potential viewers, but the SECN would have happened regardless.

We Texans are arrogant assholes.

When given the choice, most prefer the Aggy brand of arrogant a-hole over the alternatives, but we are still an obnoxious bunch.

If OU had been wise, they'd have jumped when A&M did.

OU is ready to move and is talking to anyone who will listen.

They are pissed. Done with Texas. Ready to blow up the Big 12. It sounds like they don't really know what to do, but they are ready to let the conference burn.

What are you even talking about? Oklahoma is leading the charge for expansion (despite the report that one member of the BOR was against it). Oklahoma is the one desperately trying to add more schools and make the conference viable.

As for OU bolting and leaving OSU behind - it can not happen, the Oklahoma state legislature has made sure of that.

If/when the Big12 breaks up OU, OSU, and Texas are all going to find their way to a conference together.

Oklahoma isn't leaving the Big12 alone (or with OSU) unless the entire conference craters.

Too bad they signed that GOR that would make such a move cost over a hundred million dollars in damages.

OU isn't going anywhere right now.
