Do you live on the west coast? Staying up for those late games here would suck

The whole TV market thing is way over blown imo

Have you seen how much more money the B1G is bringing in because they now have the NYC and DC markets? They charge for the channel like 1.50 a pop and bring in tens of millions on that alone. The TV market is extremely important.

OU/OSU are absolutely better teams right now, but the market in Virginia could potentially get you into the DMV marekt which is way better than anything offered by anyone else

From a Football perspective OU is much better than the crap the SEC welcomed in 2012.

How is getting less money a win win for everyone? Why would we trade St. Louis and Kansas City for Oklahoma City and Tulsa?

Leave the "gay" angle to Aggy. We got this.

The SEC Network doesn't exist without A&M

Ummm you are aware the SEC has been toying with having its own network since the mid 2000's right? we could've had one in 08 except some schools already had tv rights with someone else example Florida & Kentucky. along with the fact CBS and ESPN were already in talks with the conference about renewing their tv rights

No, in Driftwood Southwest of Austin.

It would be difficult for the 7:00 or 8:00 California, Oregon and Washington schools. Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah are all in Mountain Time Zone. That isn't too big of a deal.

The inconvenience for 2 or 3 games a year would absolutely be worth it. It's a better fit and I love the aspect of playing in the Pac 12 for all three, major sports.

We might have a network but we wouldn't be getting nearly as much without Texas TV markets.

OU is a nationally recognized team. Add to that the state of Missouri is already familiar with the sec now and to a lesser extent already follow OU because of their previous membership in the big8.win-win.

False. The "SEC Network" prior to the ESPN channel was a package of syndicated content- ie content without a set network.

The math is clear- Mizzou plus Texas A&M added 50% to the SEC population footprint. Without us the 2009 contract wouldn't allow a full SEC network, it took the expansion look in providing that.

If you like your team staying competitive nationally for revenue you like A&M and Mizzou in the SEC.

What does any of that have to do with getting less money from smaller TV markets?
