The point am trying to make is that we have already made inroads in the mizzou market will manage to keep some of the audience who have come to like great football.add to that OU's name recognition and it's a plus. More importantly is that we have a solid team in the sec, imagine the matchups. OU vs LSU or OU vs Alabama.

From a football perspective it's great. Agreed.

From a financial perspective it's bad. If Mizzou leaves, the Missouri TV markets don't have to pay the SEC network anymore to broadcast the channel. Missouri residents may like SEC football but they won't keep paying for a network that Mizzou doesn't play on or have any affiliation towards. We all lose money. That difference in checks from the network would not be made up by the TV markets of Okie. You want to sacrifice a good chunk of change off your network check to add a better football program? That's fine. Your opinion. But it won't happen.

More power to you then.

But I think it would be more than a few games. You'd only care about late games y'all were in? You wouldn't want to watch other conference games that impact you?

OU would be an excellent pick up.

That is not how the SEC Network model works. Only people actually in a state with a SEC team count.

Its like you frickers are ignorant on purpose. We keep saying it over and over. You don't want to hear the truth because that fricks up your fan masterbation theories.

That's harsh but true. I've been restraining myself from saying the same thing

It's like some folks have no clue how the tv contracts work

The Big 12 is looking to add teams, and there's zero discussion about a network.

OU is starting to see that the Big 12 is a losing proposition revenue wise. They don't like the fact that Texas has the biggest piece of the pie, and has zero to lose if they bring in Louisville or Cincinnati.

Bowlsby is trying to, "create a real power 5 conference out of thin air". (Direct quote)

OU isn't pleased with the direction, nor are they happy with the idea of two lesser teams/schools joining the conference.

They feel like there aren't any schools available that are "Big 12", and that the conference was left for dead when Texas started the Longhorn Network.

OU is ready to go, it's gonna take the perfect situation, but they are leaving eventually.

They don't want to know, because then they see the obvious logic of adding programs like Mizzou or A&M or NC State or whoever. They want to feel that the SEC leadership shares their pining for FSU or Texas or whoever even though it is a lie.

Heck we aren't even mentioning academics. Mizzou and A&M were AAU schools. The SEC presidents (aka the people who matter) REALLY REALLY liked that shite. OU is not AAU. Hence they don't have the same appeal to the eggheads that don't care about football (but get to have the deciding vote).

I'm not sure whether you're being sarcastic or what, but I'll say this... you Alabama fans wait until the A&Ms and Missouris of the world start clamoring for you to share ALL of your revenue, including those hefty apparel contracts, maybe even your donations.

They are leeches. This realignment saga will truly separate the producers from the non-producers.

I'd be OK adding OU. They are a flagship, fit the geographic footprint, and would probably increase the TV money a little.

The problem is who comes with them. Their little brother is worthless. Texas is a cancer, actually I insult cancer with that statement. KU is just too foreign for the SEC. WV is a net loss with bad academics. It would require breaking a nice piece off the ACC.

Unlike Texas, most programs have more common sense than to burn down their own conference. Texas' special blend of arrogance, stupidity and pyromania is a rare and hilarious sight.

Maybe the SEC can trade Missouri or Arkansas for OU.

When did either A&M or Missouri EVER demand that you fricking a-hole nutless bovines share any of that?

Strawman much, motherfricker?

HOWEVER, when you try to FORCE multiple conference games onto your shitty network, thereby diverting millions in TV revenue away from a conference share and into your own selfish pockets, the "non-producers" are going to get pissed at your self-important nutless bovine asses.

What if EVERYBODY decided to boycott you castrated cuunnts? You can't have 12 burnt-orange and white games and expect to have any manner of fan support. See, that's the problem with you arrogant idiots. You think the only team on the field is yours. You think that it doesn't matter who you play, as long as the nutless bovines are playing it will be an instant sellout with 10 million TV viewers. You think that the opponent adds no value to the game. You think you can line up a bunch of high school teams and make the playoff, because only your team matters, isn't that right?

The nutless bovine AD, and for that matter, the entire fan base, have ZERO concept of PARTNERSHIP. THAT is why you will NEVER leave the big twatever conference unless you go independent. NOBODY will put up with such a shitty business partner UNLESS they are OU and the other midgets who don't have any options.

I would like to see OKL. and Okl. St. join the SEC. It would add to the t.v. market. It would make the Conf. stronger. It would also open up recruiting in Okl. and Texas for more SEC schools.

Jesus that is completely wrong.

Arkansas produces more players than Oklahoma. OU and OSU rely heavily on Texas Players. The advantage of being in the SEC evaporates when you water down the product with OU and Okie Light. DFW kids are gonna pick Norman 9/10 times over West Georgia because it's so close and the additional money that OU will have will embolden their crooked boosters even more to cheat more. OSU had a dirty program under Miles and there were some issues w/ Trooper there too.

The Oklahoma schools will get down and dirty too. They'll make Ole Miss look elementary.

I mean Aubbies are generally pretty dumb, but adding the Oklahoma schools are a net loss at the end of the day. Let that conference flounder, they chose their own mess.
