But Lane will quickly remedy that.
I can’t think of more scary scenario than Kiffin at UF.

So I think you're going to have to deal with this for another ten weeks or so unless/until he signs the extension
I don't think so - Ole Miss will need an answer so they can get a plan for the next coach in place.
And I don't think Florida is willing to wait for January for an answer - they'd need to pivot to their backup plan before then too. I cannot imagine Florida being willing to have to scramble to hire their #2 option in the middle of January causing them to miss out on both the transfer portal and the coach they want.

How confident are you Kiffin has already agreed to come to UF?

He would want to see it up front. But he's staying so none of this matters except that we are going to clean house in the portal.

This thread is a perfect example for my way of being a fan.
I used to be a fan of a certain university football team, but I got so tired of the HC roller coaster.
Now, I'm a Lane Kiffin fan
If or when he moves, no problem. I still have the same coach.
In 3 clicks, I have a new logo for my rant account.
No anxiety or stress over coaching changes

I don't trust Buddy Martin on anything. He has been wrong quite a few times. I do think if we reach the Miss State game week and there isn't talk about FL signing a different coach then it's very likely it's Kiffin.

Fix the title FFS! My OCD is pinging.
“NIl” looks like pretentious nitrogen.

How would other teams waiting impact that? Let's say Lane is going to leave ... he won't sign the contract with a new school until January, but he's certainly going to let his current employer know well in advance.

The fan base collectives are a piddling percentage of booster funds.

One thing we know for sure. If LK is wearing Ole Miss gear on the sidelines, he has not agreed to anything, one way or another.

Florida fans don't care if you have a team of criminals as long as you win. Not having to have any code of ethics and getting cheered on by grown men in jorts and tank tops should be appealing for a lot of coaches.

Not having to have any code of ethics
quote:
The University of Florida's (UF) code of ethics is multifaceted, encompassing a general ethics policy for employees, students, and others, a specific code for medical students, and a student honor code for academic integrity. The general ethics policy covers conflicts of interest, proper use of resources, and compliance with laws, while the student honor code focuses on preventing and reporting academic dishonesty like cheating and plagiarism. Medical students follow a separate aspirational pledge focused on patient rights, eliminating disparities, and fostering a supportive community.
General ethics for employees and students
Covers: Employees, students, volunteers, vendors, and others acting on behalf of the university.
Key principles: Protecting university business integrity, adhering to ethical and professional standards, and respecting the rights of all citizens.
Specifics: This includes avoiding conflicts of interest and using university resources appropriately.
Student honor code
Focus: Upholding academic integrity.
Prohibitions: Cheating, plagiarism, and other acts of dishonesty.
Student responsibility: Students are expected to notify officials of any violations and can face severe penalties, including expulsion

It’s done, in the sense he’s not coming and Scott has moved down the list. So yes, technically that’s correct.
