Anyone saying otherwise is just a hater. In year 1 of a rebuild you lose big. In year 2 you lose small. In year 3 you win small. In year 4 you win big. Watch the progression and enjoy the ride.

There's not going to be a year 4.

2024 is going to be the year that decides Napier’s fate. Right now, he’s recruiting well enough to survive this season.

Recruiting ranking won’t be enough to get him through next year if it goes like this again. Also, if he has another year like this, that recruiting will get significantly harder. You can only sell hope so long.

Pretty clear, imo, that Napier isn't going to work out. UF doesn't generally keep a coach for long if he isn't a good one, so you got that going for you.

In a way it would be worse if you had a coach that will win 8 to 10 games a year but never win titles.

Your schedule next season isn't doing Napier any favors.

As an LSU fan I do agree the Gators have gotten better but that schedule next year is as tough as it comes.

Are you saying that 5-5 is losing small?

The gators expectations must be really low for sunbelt billy.

edit: Oh crap, my bad. I was giving him hem too much credit. Current record 5-6. I guess in someone’s mind that’s losing small. Nice job in year 2 sunbelt bill.

That is the truth. We are very young on defense. Something like 40% of our snaps are going to true freshmen. If they look bad next year, Billy's gone. But next year is still way out. We need to see how the recruiting class and more importantly the portal go. Hopefully we are tampering all over the place to get some talent and depth on defense.

You guys played us tough. I mean, the officials were absolutely awful and were doing everything they could to give you that game.

Florida with a team of officials in their back pocket? Watch out. Not many folks will be able to hang with you.

The first half defense is great. The young players’ conditioning doesn’t hold up in the 2nd half. That will change with another off season of conditioning. Relying on the amount of true freshman and sophomore that Florida does, idk what else someone would expect. Specially in a season where there are 6th year seniors all over other teams rosters

A 3 point game in the 4th quarter against LSU’s (arguably) most prolific offense and losing in the last second to the no.9 team in the nation is losing small

Ehhh......LSU's offense did what it did UF was in the game because LSU can't field a defense that would even qualify as bad this year.

If you are representative of your fanbase then I hope you keep on preaching. The Gators are approaching Aggie idiocy which is always fun to watch. Plus it keeps you from being an actual contender. The rest of the league thanks you for your stupidity.

UF fans won’t be patient enough to allow Billy to finish the rebuild

Y’all are still two, probably 3, recruiting classes away from competing

He will get the foundation going for the next coach

Nothing like moral victories for sunbelt bill. And by the way, you’re bragging about hanging close to LSU when they are fielding their worst defense in program history.

I agree. that team played a great game against a very good Mizzou team on the road and almost pulled it out. against a lot of conservative coaches they most likely would've won, but drinkweicz stayed aggressive and didn't settle for a long field goal shot.

ya'll have really been screwed by the schedule. i think you've got a legit shot at taking fsu down.
