So he wasn't smart enough to change anything up with a former coach on the oppositions side line?

Anyways...don't matter, FSU won the game.

I wondered what the towels were about in the second half.

Winston was also not finding open receivers. They had a few running free last night, but be didn't see them.

.... orrrrr cause the Heisman Trophy Winner played like crap in the 1st half. Not even the 6'6" receiver could catch some of those flying turds.

Yeah it probably wasn't the brightest move on his part ,but using towels to cover signals up in the 2nd half was a pretty good on the spot move.

Jimbo Fisher: 'Auburn got a couple of our signals, but that's our fault'

In the second half of the BCS Championship Game, Florida State coaches brought out towels to hide their signals.

Jimbo Fisher said Auburn had gotten some of FSU’s signals, so the Seminoles adjusted.

But Fisher didn’t bring it up to call out Auburn. A reporter asked Fisher about the towels coming back out, and Fisher put the blame on his own team.

“They had a couple of our signals a couple times and were getting to them. That happens, people do it, and that's our fault,” Fisher said. “You've got to change them, constantly rotate them, being able to get them in different ways. That's part of the game. I don't have a problem with that.”

It was pretty obvious in the AU-UGA game as well. In the first half- the AU DL under Garner (former UGA coach) was nearly beating the center's snap off the ball. Once UGA changed up the snap count after halftime, there were a whole lotta offsides penalties and the AU DL didn't look quite so prescient.

As Jimbo said, just the name of the game and adjust.

You watched the Auburn secondary, which was awful all season, show up on the last drive. Instead of making them earn it, we turned a 6 yard pass into a 50 yard gain. That wasn't great coaching, it was poor D execution.

Outstanding first half. We had the opportunity to put 10 more points on the board. Bad execution by the players cosy us there. (missed FG and wide open WR for TD that wasn't caught/not great throw) I thought he coached a poor third quarter. FSU made good halftime adjustment and Gus didn't adjust until the fourth.

I bet Nick Marshall was the one stealing them.

According to most of the country, Gus is coaching a top 15 team while Jimbo was coaching a team of NFL first round players.

Play calling by Malzahn was excellent at times in the first half. Jimbo called a fine game, especially in the second half, but I'd put more credit on FSU's improved execution and Auburn's defensive/ST lapses.

In sum, I think Auburn's success is more reliant on Gus than FSU's is on Jimbo. So in that manner, the disparity can exist without really putting down anything Jimbo did.

Jimbo being a bitch. You won, Jimbo, and no one had to steal shite, your QB just couldn't handle the whole first half.

Stealing signs is usually an Auburn talking point. Poor form, Jimbo.

I think it was coached pretty well on both sides. Auburn failed to execute on some plays and it cost them. FSU failed in the 1st half but got their shite together in the 2nd half and Auburn made a few mistakes. That is how I see it anyway.
