I'd put more credit on FSU's improved execution and Auburn's defensive/ST lapses.

Agreed.

You watched the Auburn secondary, which was awful all season, show up on the last drive. Instead of making them earn it, we turned a 6 yard pass into a 50 yard gain. That wasn't great coaching, it was poor D execution.

Hey Man, FSU scored 21 points in the 2nd half -

Outstanding first half.

and that had nothing to do with fsu coming out shell shocked? you could see it easily on their faces- someone/something calmed them down and led them to victory by making good calls like the fake punt, etc. i think it's kind of unfair to say that gus coached great for part yet jimbo didn't.

FSU failed in the 1st half but got their shite together in the 2nd half and Auburn made a few mistakes. That is how I see it anyway.

Pretty much how I see it. I think Auburn outplayed FSU for most of the game. FSU made plays when it mattered, Auburn didn't.

The fake punt turned all the momentum. Great call in your own end of the field. Once FSU got some momentum going, AU couldn't stop it and it snowballed from there.

Outstanding first half. We had the opportunity to put 10 more points on the board. Bad execution by the players cosy us there. (missed FG and wide open WR for TD that wasn't caught/not great throw) I thought he coached a poor third quarter. FSU made good halftime adjustment and Gus didn't adjust until the fourth.

Until the 4th? Didn't FSU score 21 points in the 4th? Not very good adjusting IMO.

Also this sound like you said you beat yourselves.... I thought only pathetic bammers used this line of thinking.

Yep 2 TD's and a KO return. That's exactly what I said earlier. Our DB's showed up on the last drive. They had played great all game long and let FSU flip the field, at the worst possible time, on a 6 yard pass. FSU made the plays when it mattered, Auburn didn't.

How many points did FSU leave on the field, for the entire game? (not a single point)

How many points did Auburn leave on the field, for the entire game? (at least 10)

UGH, JIMBO.

Before the last drive Auburn had 465 yards to your 285 yards.

FAIL.

Yep. Thinking about it, Auburn left more points than that. On the last FG we got, Sammy was open in the endzone and Nick missed him with the pass. This one definitely sucks. It was a story book year with a horrible ending. IMO, our team outplayed FSU. FSU out-executed when it mattered. At the end of the day, however you get the W is all that matters.

Stealing signs is usually an Auburn talking point. Poor form, Jimbo.

Along with complaining about other teams faking injuries to slow the "no huddle" offenses down... See the Auburn flop in the endzone against Arkansas.....

So he wasn't smart enough to change anything up with a former coach on the oppositions side line?

per the article

Jimbo Fisher said Auburn had gotten some of FSU’s signals, so the Seminoles adjusted.

Jimbo didn't mention it, a reporter asked him about the towels. And upon being asked about it, Jimbo said its all part of the game and blamed himself:
quote:

A reporter asked Fisher about the towels coming back out, and Fisher put the blame on his own team.

“They had a couple of our signals a couple times and were getting to them. That happens, people do it, and that's our fault,” Fisher said. “You've got to change them, constantly rotate them, being able to get them in different ways. That's part of the game. I don't have a problem with that.”

Winston will always be remembered as a National Champion, Heisman Winner, and the MVP of the 2014 National Championship Game.

Now carry on with your butthurt.
