That's what people do.

Eventually, every single person who posts on this board will be dead. Instead of running around with our hands in the air, screaming, "Oh, shite we're gonna die!" let's get out there and live life. It is a finite thing that is much too precious to spend hiding in our houses from some microscopic organism.

I’m only implying that contact due to playing football did not cause this young man’s issues.

I thought the argument was that football players were too healthy to die from Covid-19 related complications?

Are bloodclots related to or caused by covid (if that is indeed the cause of death)? I ask honestly because I have no clue.

I haven’t argued this. But it also has not been proven this kid ever had Covid-19. Because family and friends seem to be disputing this news. Some of the initial reports have retracted their statements.

He had other issues. Everyone who dies now is because of Covid-19. There have been times where a player simply collapsed and died from an undetected heart issue etc etc during practice. Next time that happens they will blame Covid-19. People that were already old and dying of heart disease or cancer they are saying “Complications of Covid-19.”

I’m kinda sick of it all.

What killed her? Seriously, I want your answer. Was it the polycythemia vera, the leukemia, the treatments, or the blood clot? Because you seem to imply with your statement that only one thing can be a cause of death.

Cerebral Infarction due to cerebrovascular thrombosis due to Hypercoagulability associated with Polycythemia Vera

Contributory causes: Leukemia (whatever type)

No. Their risk level is so low that it's below things like the flu.

Sadly, I'm not surprised some people want to pretend like this means something big.

Frickity Frack! I am SO tired of the COVID fear mongering!

Can COVID kill people? Even rarely, young healthy people? Yep sure can. But 60,000+ people died in America of seasonal flu last year. No one mandated masks, or social distancing, or any other such BS. Hell, the common cold can give you myocarditis and kill you.

Being in your car on your way to work can kill you when some drunk ahole falls asleep at the wheel. It is possible to die sitting on the toilet taking a dump because a meteorite comes through the roof and gets you. You gonna stop going to work? Stop taking a shite? Cause YOU MIGHT JUST DIE!!!!

You CANNOT shut down the economy, education, destroy people's jobs and businesses, and so many other ridiculous things that have been done in the name of "safety" from COVID. The fix cannot be worse than the problem. Frick!

That isn’t the sad part my guy.

Grown men saying -

- about the death of a kid in order to preserve their Saturday entertainment, is the sad part.

about the death

Do you post on the secrant for every person who has died from covid who played high school and/or college football at some point in there life.

Every death is a tragedy.
Every one.
But there will be about 2.8M deaths in America for the year 2020.
You yourself will die from heart failure if you stress over every one.

I’m not trying to protect anything. I don’t think a season even gets finished. But I also don’t subscribe to fear porn.

How is that "fear porn". All I have heard is "did he die"? A player, a college student, dies from complications from covid and now I see....

quote:

This has already been disputed. Likely to be bloodclots.

College student that died of COVID that happened to be a football player. His team was not participating in football activities.

But, strictly speaking in a sports context, is he really considered a football player if their season is canceled?

That is just the first few responses. I keep seeing people saying "this is just a flu". This shite needs to be taken more seriously. I am convinced that if a first rounder dies from it the goalpost will be moved again in some way.

If your mom had not taken the blood thinners, would she have died from polycythemia vera ?

Because the original source retracted their statement that the guy died from Covid.

Depends on who gets it. Sometimes it’s worse. Sometimes it’s less than the flu.

Yeah because heat stress and big hits haven’t killed people in the past. Heat stress is preventable. Don’t play football. Yet here you are on a football fan site after many many more cases of death, not due to COVID, to college football players over the years. I’m confused. You just like random forums and team icons? Pretty sure you should have been boycotting football since the beginning. Sounds like anything to protect your precious feelings William.

That wasnt playing nor attending college. So its more accurate to say "someone not playing football and not attending college"

Got it?

It is actually less deadly than the flu for college age students.

But continue on your path

This is a sports message board. So, this news is discussed in the context of how it impacts sports. The conversation you're looking for is somewhere else.

People die. Sorry you didn't know that until now. It sucks, but that's life.
