I find it hard to believe any State "fans" were yelling the N-word at Vandy parents. But certainly if that persisted, someone would have videoed it on their phones.
As an aside, we should all leave parents of players alone except to be nice to them at games.

Well, I've been using that philosophy for more than 40 years and it's worked out pretty well so far.
It turns out what you see on the news and media isn't really what I come across IRL. They highlight a small minority of people to spread their agenda.

No one dropped a "N" bomb. According to my sons baseball team who was at the game, a comment about all them "Black Boys" getting scharships to Vandy was made.
The point being that Vanderbilt was bringing those kids in to play baseball when they were unqualified.
It's a shifty thing to say about someone's son, but doesn't qualify as a racial slur.

I mean it is free speech. I don't like it and don't believe for a second it happened, but it is free speech...I'm talking about the racial slurs. Could care less about the scholly shite that might have been said bc that's true as hell about vandy. People can say what the want to say. Period.

It used to be that sex sells, now it is race and gender. Have you noticed how all the commercials and network TV shows have changed their approach ? The commercials on today either has at least one person of color, or a mixed race couple, or gay couple. Would make a great drinking game. The News Networks have followed suit. Nothing wrong with any of that, but they are not doing it for the demographics of the minority population, they are doing it to show the rest of the country the are "wroke". Which is dangerous because as soon as it is not a hot topic, they will go back to the status quo.

I don’t doubt that this happened. College baseball fans in the south tend to be more on the ignorant side relative to the other two big sports, and Vandy has become a bizarre target for conspiracy-obsessed conservaturds recently.
That being said, if the coverage of this devolves into some stunt to get the liberal majority of this country cheering for a prohibitively-expensive private university named after the Vanderbilts, I don’t think it’s going to be all that effective.
I mean, Vandy is just not a very statistically diverse university relative to some public institutions and that name has not exactly been PC for a while.
Hopefully Cohen just has the instigators perma-banned from all sporting events and we all move on.
