The SEC West is a cakewalk here

That's why UVA, UNC, UT, and U of SC are in the East

LSU, Oklahoma and Texas A&M doesn't exactly equate to a cakewalk, but yea the East is hilariously stupid good.
Don't care, would love.

I don’t want Oklahoma in the SEC. I missed that

Then remove OU. Add West Virginia/FSU/Clemson to the east and move Tennessee to the West

No thanks.
This I'm fine with. However, keep Mizzou and slide them to the West.... then move Kentucky back over to the East.
No thanks for both UNC and UVA. Insert Kentucky back into the East and add Clemson instead.
Play 10-game conference schedules, with 1 annual opponent and the other 2 rotating.
Here would be the annual cross-division rivalries:
LSU - Alabama
Oklahoma - Florida
Texas A&M - Georgia
Miss St. - Auburn
Arkansas - Clemson
Missouri - Kentucky
Ole Miss - S. Carolina
Vanderbilt - Tennessee
**Keep the rule that all SEC teams have to play another OOC Power opponent
**Mandate no more FCS opponents

I'm Ok with your solution. Dropping Missouri gives the conference a lot of options in the East, and that's why I started with removing them from the equation

I get it. In hindsight I think anyone will admit that adding Mizzou may have been a mistake. But what is done is done and they are now one of us IMO.
I think adding Oklahoma and Clemson would give us the most bang for our buck.

Big 10 bound for us and this would be sweet.

The truest SEC
LSU
Kentucky
Mississippi State
Ole Miss
Vanderbilt
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Tennessee
I do not know if expansion has made it any better.

So we will have two separate 8 team conference with little cross over.

9 game schedule. No permanent cross-division games. 7-2 format

The original expansion failed and the SEC had to settle for Arkansas and South Carolina.
Texas was the #1 target. The Ole Miss chancellor was named head of the SEC expansion because he was a Texas graduate.
Texas Politics got in the way.
Should have been Texas and Florida State in 1990 or Texas and Texas A&M.
Arkansas and South Carolina were options #5 and #6.

Like it or not, Mizzou is in the SEC. Move them to the SEC West in place of Kentucky and drop Virginia from the SEC because they are too freaking far away.

Your post is completely incorrect. Frank Broyles intiated the contact with Doug Dickey( one of his former assistants) who was at Tennessee at the time. Broyles and Arkansas were the catalyst for expansion at the time, because the SWC was so corrupt that several programs were either serving probation or had recently. Broyles and the fan base had grown tired, and wanted something else.
Arkansas was option one, and at the time, Broyles felt like he could talk Darryl Royal ( his close friend) and Texas into joining Arkansas.
Politically, Texas could not abandon the SWC, so Florida State was courted afterward. Eventually, South Carolina was settled on to get the twelfth team, so a championship game could be played based on the current NCAA rules in place.
Btw, don’t take my word for it, there’s actually an in depth article in circulation that goes into more detail on the timeline, etc.
I’m sure I left out a few items of note.
