No doubt. I’ve always maintained they are the SMU of the SEC. They are the gold standard in the conference when it comes to “benefits “. Just because the NCAA didn’t pursue the Newton scandal to the bitter end , doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. The Terry Bowden years says a lot.

Wrong. Frank Broyles was the catalyst for the expansion. At the time the SWC was in serious decline, due in large part to numerous members having probation issues,etc.

We’ve had more title shots than LSU in past 6-8 seasons. If you’re not one of the 8 teams to make it to Omaha, you don’t get the shot. So, yes, recently, we’ve had more opportunities....

Well, Manieri has coached 9 more years than Van Horn first of all. So, trying to compare their win totals is bullshite first of all.
Second, no he wouldn’t make at most a lateral move, if not a step down at this point.
