We SEC Poors will take what we can get.

There's a growing sample size of KDB's teams playing like arse when they're heavily favored going back to his Washington tenure (especially on the road).

Don’t go looking for an SEC coach out west imo.

You’re not over blowing anything……

But didn’t USC bookend their disappointing season with wins vs LSU and Gay & M? That probably made their season

I think we're all in agreement that FSU is looking like a damn strong team. The thing is they didn't just get the win. They physically whupped Bama's arse.
That's what should concern you most if you're a Bama fan. Deboer has completely sapped the team of the physical and mental toughness Saban instilled.

If we respected your coach it would be different. Kirby struggled year one against some rent-a-win (pulled it out, but still) Nobody made too much fun of Georgia for it. Saban lost to a G5 team year one. It happens.
The problem is that we've all strongly suspected KDB isn't the guy from day one. Top that off with being 5-5 over your last ten, reported lost locker room and poor discipline, and him doing weird stuff like bringing in some middle aged manchild "super fan' to embody cringe in front of the team, and it's not looking real great for y'all.

bama is bama. As much as I enjoy bama going 6-6 in their last 12 games, I’m a realist and understand 4 and 5 star athletes don’t just lose their skills. bama’s still a strong contender to win the SEC and get a playoff spot. Something else has changed in that bama isn’t get the officiating calls that they ALWAYS got in the past.

Bama will be fine. They’ll recover and win at least nine games this season.

FSU could be really good this year.
They only play 3 ranked teams besides Alabama and if they play the way they did against Bama, they have a great shot to beat those teams as well. They could possibly be an undefeated regular season team. I do believe Bama will be 2-1 going into the Georgia game and we’ll see what the product looks like then. We’ll see if getting totally embarrassed changes any attitudes. It may turn out like the Tim Tebow situation or it could be one of the worst seasons in Bama history. Stay tuned.

Bama is DONE! Dismount now!
Can we not say the same thing about the Longhorns and their Heisman trophy (cough cough) candidate? Both teams are 0-1.

They looked like arse against FSU... Just like they looked the second half of last season. It's a major red flag.
In the second half of the regular season last year Alabama went 4-2. They lost to Tennessee and Oklahoma by a combined score of 48-20. They looked horrible. But during that same stretch they beat #21 Missouri and #15 LSU by a combined score of 76-13.
The word you are looking for is inconsistent. Alabama was very inconsistent in the second half of last season.
That is a preparation and focus issue. In Alabama’s last six regular season games last season, they looked dominant in four of them. In the other two it looked like they didn’t even realize they had a game that day.
That is the red flag.

I think Bama will turn it around IF Game 1 was truly just a wakeup call and not a symptom of something very wrong with the coaching staff and players.

No, his team is a fricking joke. Those fat lazy bastards will be luck to
Win 4 games

Yep. I remember a recent team that lost an opener to FSU and then won the West. That team breat Bama too!

Don’t care, enjoying the Bama meltdown and welcome anyone helping stole that fire.

But the laps being done on Bama’s demise by the rest of the SEC and CFB seems a little premature. The “dynasty” has been dead for a while, and the Bama mystique is definitely gone too.
But there’s a shot that FSU and their transfers end up being a good team this year, and this Bama team gets their act together after a shock loss. I think the dancing on our grave before SEC play even starts is a little much from everyone and might eventually look foolish if we turn it around.
Depending on how you define dynasty, it was alive and well up until Saban's last game, even if he hadn't won a championship since 2017. As in, relevance and a real shot at the title pretty much every year.
The problem is that DeBoer had that same team that almost went to the national championship game for the most part, and only won 9 games. Now he looks even worse than last year. His team doesn't seem to respect him certainly not as much as they respected Saban. And can you blame them?
This looks like Orgeron after Burrow left. The culture was broken, players stopped buying in, but LSU was able to cut bait after 2 seasons with him, there is no way in hell Bama has the kind of money to do that especially after paying a 12 million dollar buyout.
They may screw up some teams' seasons, but the Bama we knew for the last 15 years is over and may not ever be back. Certainly no championships this decade.
