And the question still remains, who the frick have you played?

Bama is a good team, as everyone knows, but you haven’t played anyone with a winning record yet and prior to the LSU game you still will not have played anyone with a winning record.

So while the stats are the stats you have to caveat it with saying, that every team except for Vandy has a winning record that we have played including two Top ten teams prior to playing them. While Bama has yet to play a team with a winning record. And won’t until the play LSU.

So in this case Bama’s numbers are skewed

You do understand what "opponent adjusted" means, right?

advanced metrics : FEI, SP+, FPI

I like looking at the numbers, but just because they call themselves 'advanced' doesn't make it so. The biggest issue I have is their definition of garbage time.

Not even just ranking. They have not recruited near the talent the surrounding top ten teams have.

Exactly. If not your team, why not Wisconsin? I wouldn't mind them making a run.

From the outside it just looks like Ohio States staff and players are playing free and clear without the weight of all the stuff that was around with Urban the last few years.

That could be looking for something, but that's my first impression from what I've seen watching you guys play.

Agreed and from reports and comments from a couple of players it's clear there was friction with at least some of the staff members who have left with players. Now it's like they're just having fun out there. The talent has always been there.

How is Wisconsin not number 1 on defense? Theyve had 4 out of 6 shutouts

LSU's issue is they've given up points and yards throughout the games they've played, not just in garbage time.

Not any more so than Alabama. This is very subjective to what they call “garbage time”.

First these advanced stats are opponent adjusted. Let me know if you don't know that that means.

Second why do you keep saying that Bama has yet to play a team with a winning record? That is false. It's very easy to look up records. Did you just hear someone say this and start repeating it without looking?

Alabama has played 2 teams with winning records, 2 teams with .500 records, and 2 teams with losing records just FYI.

Yea - they are legit. In years past when they were undefeated their advanced numbers would be fringe Top 10.

This team ain't fringe Top 10

After they boat raced Michigan, Urban Meyer was on Fox Sports saying that this maybe the best Wisconsin team he has ever seen. I became a believer after I heard that given his time in the Big Ten.

George don’t listen to the rant trolls. I always love when you put this data out. It’s very interesting and enlightening and overall does as well as could be expected to try and measure teams of similar record without them being able to play one another.
