Arkansas- love going to Fayetteville for a road game. Nice stadium, treehouse tailgating is unique, great fans who are also great hosts to visiting fans.

South Carolina- mid-level rivalry for UGA but the flagship school of a border state. Long-suffering but very loyal fanbase that supports the program come hell or high water. Good people whether hosting or visiting. Williams Brice is a nice venue that gets very loud when the Gamecocks are competing well against a top tier team. Glad they are in the SEC.

Missouri- I think they they fit in just fine. A lot of people here give them a hard time to bust their fans balls but I think that they are a tough out for a lot of the top teams in the conference most years. I have only seen us play them in Athens so can’t really make a judgement yet on Columbia. I have no reason to dislike them at this point.

Texas A&M- I really have no feeling on them. Mainly because we haven’t played them much historically except in a few bowl games. They have a nice stadium but seem to have some weird traditions that only their fans and graduates seem to think are cool. I guess you could say I am indifferent to them being in the SEC. I could take them or leave them.

Oklahoma- They will be a good addition. Historically strong program with a devoted fan base. Again, not much history between UGA and the Sooners so I will need to reserve judgment for a few years.

Texas- never met a Longhorn fan that wasn’t delusional about their place in the pecking order of college football over the past decade. And I met a lot of them when traveling to Texas once a month for almost 2 years straight in 2020 and 2021. I think they will be the noisiest and most brash of the expansion teams fan bases. Kind of like if Clemson was allowed into the SEC but x2. Don’t care for their fans over inflated perception of their program but they are a historically strong brand that I would rather have in the SEC than see in another conference. They can’t hide behind and pad their resume with shite competition anymore.

South Carolina is the only natural fit. Don't know why they werent a member when GT left but USC is similar in every way to the charter members outside of Vandy. The others are square pegs in round holes. Its good for the conference and CFB in the current state of affairs but the other 5 will always be strangers in a strange world. South Carolina is and always has been a SEC school in spirit if not in real terms.

It still shocks me that some people on this board would like to have Clemson in the SEC when they've seen how their fanbase is.. just imagine it in person.

Clemson and FSU both have had chances to be in the SEC. Like Georgia Tech they decided it was in their best interest to turn down the SEC or leave in GTs case. They made their bed, they have to sleep in it now.

Arkansas and SC absolutely.

A&M has come to fit in well, but Mizzou OU and UT belong in the Big12.

I’d keep Arky/SC/aTm and try to poach Georgia Tech to give UGA an in-state recruiting rival.

Well a huge portion of our fanbase would agree with you, and none of us liked how the University let that stupid shite happen. Our attendance and donations plummeted in the following seasons. So I guess we fit more than you want us to.

Arkansas had talks with joining the Big 8 back in the late 70s.

But Arkansas stopped calling.

Arkansas geographically was closer to the Big 8 schools than the SWC schools.

Arkansas would be a better fit in the Big 8 as Arkansas was treated as an outsider in the SWC.

At least we have a rival.

And that rivalry is considered one of the best in the country.

No Arkansas fan should go at any school about their rivals when they don’t even have a primary rival lol

South Carolina is the only “South Eastern” school in the lot, the rest are fringe at best. And in all honesty we should change the name of the conference at this point.

I never understood any of it. But it worked out for Arkansas in the long run. Hoping we can get some regular home & home games. My wife's extended family are in Arkansas and huge Razorbacks fans.

Non flagships ... Auburn, Vandy, Miss State, A&M.

A&M is a flagship of its own separate university system and has been for many decades now.

I am pretty sure the same can be said for Auburn and MSU.

Vandy doesn't care about that designation given its private status.
