Always fun teaching first year non students to sit their butt down.

Why should the students have to stand all game?

I like to stand all game personally. I know that bothers a lot of folks so I specifically bought my season tickets in a place in our stadium where I can stand and I’m not blocking anyone’s view.

I'm the opposite, I like to sit, so I have tickets on the first row in the club level.

It's always kind of funny to see "that guy" who think that because they're standing they are somehow a bigger or better fan than everyone else

Absolute truth right here. That guy is usually an absolute clown too.

Big play happens I’m standing up. If I’m still amped and I’m excited about next play I’m staying standing up. Have had ppl ask me to sit down and I will until a big play happens then I’m up jumping around and idc what they say till I mellow down a bit

My guess is, when teams play UGA, they don't stand very much these day, cuz you don't have much occasion to stand when your team is getting bent over the table and about an 18 incher broke off in you! And we do that to everyone nowadays.

In the student section stand up the whole game. In the rest, up when there is a reason/need and sit down in between those moments.

Stand if you are close to the action. Sit if you are in the upper deck or some type of club seating.

Went to national champ game in 2012 in the Dome and a wide-bodied guy about 6-5 AND wearing a cowboy hat decided to stand entire frickin’ game.

Bama kicked our arse and, thankfully, there wasn’t much to see out there.

Everywhere else: Stand at big moments, but standing the entire game in the upper deck is silly in most situations

God, THIS. I was in Tuscaloosa in 2019, and this Alabama version of Rudy refused to sit. Even when Burrow was dicing them up, the frick still wouldn't sit.

I'll jump up for Tiger TDs, or sacks on 3rd down type of plays, otherwise I'm only standing if the people in front of me are standing.

I have a solution. Seat those who prefer to sit in the seats closest to the field and those who like to stand behind them. At the very back put the tall and/or wide people who like to stand. Everybody is happy and no one's vision is blocked that way.

I've been a wheelchair since 1971. Most places have the wheelchair seats elevated somewhat so it doesn't matter but in stadiums where they don't it's a real pain in the arse for people to stand right in front of me where I can't see. I realize I don't have the right to expect them not to stand at all but a little consideration is nice.

If you're not a student, sit your arse down unless you are cheering a scoring play or big defensive stand. People spend too much time and money to come watch the game in person for you to be an a-hole.

Im 6’3” so I try to sit unless it’s a close game. Look at the crowd behind me

If I bought tickets, I’m doing what I want. Screw “etiquette”. It’s football. If the game is exciting and full of big plays, I’ll be standing. If we have momentum, I’m standing. Obviously if I’m watching a loss, I’m sitting.
