I am still trying to figure out how these guys even entered the portal. What did they put as their current school? Did Wright list Ole Miss? Or the Cleveland Browns? Or none?

SEC league rules state that players cannot transfer from one SEC school to another outside of a very well defined window. Which has come and gone for this year. To even enter the portal the rules say you are supposed to be enrolled in a college. So again it is bizarre how this is happening.

That's the whole point of the lawsuit/injunction. They were not given the benefit of 5 for 5 in a timely manner, so they were forced to move on if they wished to keep playing football. And then after the draft, 5 for 5 was granted for "this" year's seniors, who get an extra season next year. So, last year's guys got fricked over.

"Rules" don't apply anymore, so don't try to overthink it. Nobody really cares that the South Carolina QB isn't taking a class this fall, and he wasn't a part of this. He's just doing it because he can.
