DVH was a victim, again, not a villain. David is infinitely more sick today than the kiddos, though.

I mean. LSU gave Arkansas the 2 run lead in the top of the 9th, not turning two double plays that the team has turned all season. Dickinson threw the ball to Milam high for the first out in the inning so Milam just held the ball. Later in the inning Dickinson threw a lawn dart to Jones who made a nice stretch for it but just couldn't pick it. Both teams had errors. Not to mention the slip on the stolen run attempt and the popped up bunt with no outs. LSU should've put the game away before the 9th. They didn't. They just stepped up and made more of Arkansas' mistakes than Arkansas made of theirs.

Curiel was ahead of the pitcher covering. He would have been safe. But only been on first base.

Yeah you are missing the point. The first baseman should not have gone for the ground ball. The second baseman was there to field it easily and throw to the first baseman. Routine play.

Yeah no one is arguing LSU didn't have some Frick ups either. Jones, luckily for him made up for his big mistake the next inning.

One was more of a physical error. He over extended and then made a bad throw.

No, he should never have fielded the ball in the first place. He should have been standing on first while his second baseman easily fields the ball.

Hernandez hit to LF was crushed. Wasn't surprised the guy in LF had issues with it.

I've seen LSU folks trashing him. Aloy is a dude!

I felt sick for that kid. That ball was absolutely smoked though. Got on him quick and looked like he slipped a little when he dove. It was a tough play. Liked how his brothers picked him up afterwards.

I wouldn’t say he had no chance at… I mean it nailed him in the shoulder.

Not the ground then shoulder, legit just kicked 60 feet off his shoulder

And yes that was a horrible decision.

No it was not, seriously. You are taught from the day you start playing baseball to get the lead runner with less than 2 outs. Fundamentally, it was the correct decision because the double play was not guaranteed.

Yes it was the wrong decision in that situation. They were up two runs so the lead runner meant nothing. Even if they didn't get the double play they'd have been in the same situation fundamentally.

Jones hit a ball right at the second baseman

I keep seeing this. It was not. He had to jump, and jump high

That’s not right at, that’s over. He made a great attempt to snag one but fell short

Maybe in little league. I promise you college shortstops are not taught to throw that ball to 3B. That's about as routine of a double play as you're going to get and the runner at third means absolutely nothing.

Your second baseman was at the apex of his jump and the ball just niped the very top of his glove.

True. And LSU wasn't exactly error free in the top of that inning. Crazy finish down the stretch to what was a pitchers duel and defensive gem most of the game.

Memo to Aloy from Tom Hanks: Use your head. It's that lump three feet above your arse.

Agree. That field was in shitty condition, tbh. Had a pitcher slip from the mound. Jones slipped right off 1st. LF slipped. Not sure why the field was so shitty. But, it was.

Still not as shitty as DVH and Arkansas, though.
