It's not that he saw Clemson was so serious, it's that he saw FSU isn't anywhere near as serious as Clemson.

They got into a "what we have is good enough" mentality that will cause them to fall behind. The same shite happened to RC Slocum at A&M and it has taken over a decade to course correct from letting our facilities fall behind.

Has Alabama stolen any aggy recruits today?

You're regurgitating a bunch of shite about finances. The SEC is the best conference in the country, there's plenty of $$ flowing and aTm isn't shy about spending it.

Are you still hurt that you are demonstrably an idiot in every thread in which you post?

Well aggy is very glad that Alabama is doing well enough to subsidize their program.

But make no mistake, it will never be enough. Aggy will grow resentful at your largess in merchandising, for example, and will demand that you share that equally, too.

Was FSU the giant lulled to sleep?

Kind of an idiotic assessment. Truth is he overhauled the offense and installed his own offense largely using Sumlin's players. A&M had our best run defense on the field since Y1 in the SEC. Also this recruiting class is currently #2 in the nation and is shaping up to be the best A&M class in 20+ years.

But by all means... go on with your 8-4 bull shite.

Buckle up buttercup because it is coming...

He returned 16 starters on a team that went 7-5 last year. He improved them by 1 win. You had a great rush defense at the expense of having the worst pass defense in the conference. You play @ Georgia, @ Clemson, @ LSU and have Bama at home next year. 8-4 is your ceiling...

Your recruiting class, which will decline in ranking once everyone else signs more players, will still be 3rd in your own division, at best 4th in your conference.

That is the aTm madlibs. The same thing was said about Franchoine, Sherman, Sumlin, etc. It hasn't happened yet. It hasn't come close to happening.

What aTm posters cannot see is how weird their university is. Cool people don't like that. Most good football players are cool people. Most good football players do not like aTm.

So what was controversial?

Sure. Here is the definition of controversial:

quote:
giving rise or likely to give rise to public disagreement.

I bet there is plenty of disagreement on this thread. Already has been!

Touche, however if "likely to give rise to disagreement among rantards" qualifies as controversial, then all matters large and small, that the Earth, nay the Universe, has ever encountered are controversial... meaning nothing is controversial.

I'm confused by the analogy. Are the Aggies and Longhorns arguing over the rightful governorship after Sam Houston?

Now he may ultimately create a toxic environment if he brings in too many athletes with questionable histories, but he will get talented players.

Any modicum of aggy success in the latter half of the 20th century ended with a stint on probation.

Paul Bryant = NCAA sanctions for aggy

Gene Stallings (who had a terrible record but loaded up on talented players, with more scholarship players than the Longhorns, contrary to aggy propaganda) = NCAA sanctions

Jackie Sherrill = NCAA sanctions

R.C. Slocum = NCAA sanctions

Kevin Sumlin and Johnny Manziel = well-documented toxic environment (read former aggy QB Hubenak's expose of these shenanigans)

You’ve posted 9 times in this 3-page thread, which speaks to the extent that the article has affected you.
I’m betting everyone here is aware of your opinion.
So don’t feel badly about giving your fingers a rest for a bit.

Texas A&M reminds me of USCe. A passionate fanbase, but very average when it comes to winning.

You could understand why they were so excited that second place was OK and 8-4 was fine. I mean, they needed seven losses and another seven OTs to finally win their Super Bowl. You'd be excited, too.

Any fanbase other than LSU would be too embarrassed to constantly trot out this tired narrative.

What happens to the cash flow if Jimbo can’t deliver ? Stuck with several huge contracts
to pay off, AM could be in purgatory for years.

I would usually agree with you but Jimbo is smart. He diminishes the weird shite that goes on there very well.

Don't play Clemson and you're 9-3, dumbasses.
