Well you certainly don’t go there to win...

Oh, I assumed it was going to be about the fact you paid $75,000,000 for a guy that helped cover up a potential rape when he was at FSU with Winston.
Not fair. It might be fair to say he didn't address it as strongly as he should have, but there's no evidence whatsoever that he helped cover it up. Considering you and I both know about the potential rape in question, there obviously wasn't much of a coverup. There's better evidence our old coach Franklin tried to help cover one up. He actually tried to communicate with a victim and defuse the situation.

Fisher is transitioning A&M to an SEC-style team. A&M had the SEC's leading rusher this year, which is something many don't realize. The TE is an integral part of the offense, and the two recruits we are bringing in this year are the best. Hell, Baylor Cupp is the #1 TE in the country, and the best talent we've had at the position in more than a decade
More importantly, the S&C coach we stole from OU (might be part of the reason OU is so weak on defense this year with the same players and coaches), and the focus on stopping the run. Fisher is a Saban disciple, and A&M is building itself in the same mold as many of the SEC elite teams. Focus on stopping the run, run the ball, and pass to achieve balance
Also, although Chicken won't acknowledge it, ESPN says A&M finished second in the West. And he did it all with Sumlin's recruits. Fisher is ahead of schedule in CS.

Actually, year three is a better guide. Year two is a simply brutal schedule.

year two will be his test.
If we're 8-4 again next year, going to UGA and to Clemson and to LSU and playing Bama, and we're recruiting in the top 5 again, then you better watch out for year three. The best chance the rest of the SEC has to slow Jimbo is next year.

That’s a whole lot of money for 8-4.
While this may be true, I believe Saban went 7-6 in his first season after signing a 8 year 32 million dollar contract. Not that jimbo is Saban, but the first year record isn’t that big of a deal in the long run.

He was told to look elsewhere and you dipshits overpaid because of course you did. Nobody was ever trying to hire Schmitty away from us.

How is your defense without him? Curious since it is "in your words" the same players and coaches. Yet they are historically bad. Meanwhile, A&M finished with the best conditioning in quite a long time
Coincidence?
Coincidence?

It's all relative. As I recall, Jimbo is the highest paid coach per win in the SEC, but Saban is second. Nobody is silly enough to troll over Saban, though. The point is less about the per-win numbers and more about crossing a certain threshold. If Smart had the distinction of being the highest paid per win over the last two seasons, most people would have the sense not to troll over him either. At some arbitrary point -- reach the SEC title game, make the playoff, break 11 wins, whatever floats a person's boat, the per-win becomes acceptable to people.

How is our offense without him?
S&C coaches don't just train the defense, numbnuts. And strength isn't the defense's problem. Try again, know-nothing, gobbledy asian shite poster..

True - Riley seems to not really care about anything but offense. Your small and weak team looks the part

What a tease thread title. I think OP just wanted everyone to read the slobberfest of the Aggies so he mislead us.
