re: Ron Sanders: Kiffin actively pursuing Auburn job

My guess is saying Sark and Kiffin are interested in the Auburn job is nothing more
than trying to salvage a recruiting class.

I’d take a serious look at Sark. Not only would his hire improve the offense and recruiting, it might be the tipping point in getting Saban to retire. Does Saban really want to rebuild another staff at his age when he could go out on top.

Perhaps Lane should take the Ole Miss plane up
to Ann Arbor for a recruiting visit ? Maybe stop
by the IHOP while he is there ?

Matt Luke isn’t so far fetched . He is from the coast
and could recruit to their level. The program has been a mess since Bowers.

re: Forget BBQ, which SEC state has the best Seafood?

Louisiana has better cuisine, Florida has greater
variety. Alabama just fries everything and forget
seasoning. Mississippi comes in a respectable
third. Also, catfish isn’t seafood. It’s good eating
but it’s not seafood.

Actually, a pretty good idea. Of course, it makes
too much sense for the NCAA

Just saw where it is junior colleges. Hopefully
it isn’t implemented at all levels.

Just saw on the ESPan ticker that JC football will be moved to the Spring with a 7 game season.
Can anybody confirm ?

re: Satterfield to MSU ?

I assumed it was just a ploy by his agent to bump
up his contract but he would make sense. Young
coach with credentials. Not sure of the salary or buyout needed but he would fit culturally.

Satterfield to MSU ?

I’ve heard a rumor from a Louisville alum that MSU has approached Scott Satterfield to gauge his interest .Would this be a solid hire for the Dawgs ?

Only half jokin. He seems like he would recruit a little
better and fit there identity until they were ready to move on. We

re: Breaking News: NCAA to allow players to be paid for names, images, likeness

I’m not sure that would stand up if challenged . If Nike wants to pay a high school
football player for their image for 4 years. How can the NCAA prevent this without
inviting another lawsuit ? If the NCAA thought they were going to lose the California
case then restricting who the players can go into business with will be another loss.

Would not Nike and Adidas basically buy the image rights of the top prospects
and direct them to their schools ? Quite honestly I can see this leading to more
players going pro sooner. Will the average fan still feel the attachment for his team
if the players are seen as semi pros ?

So who is the biggest loser ? The NCAA ? The athletes? How about the NFL who may
have to fund a developmental league ?Professional minor league football has never
survived. Even college football relies on taxpayer subsidies to exist . Will fans feel an
attachment to a hybrid college/pro team when the student athletes are just paid athletes
like minor league baseball players ?

Don’t you think they could get more money for more tats in a more prosperous area?

The obvious thing is that the richer schools will get richer and every other school will
have to decide if they want to and can afford to compete. If a recruit has a choice between UCLA , where he could earn more money, why would he go to South Carolina
where the earnings would be less ?
