it makes absolutely no sense that there has been a legitimate discussion about 11/19 at this point

LSU offered to play this weekend in Gainesville.

It's not the victim care. It's the "I told you so" card.

So you're telling me that lsu's ad is telling the truth while the UF administration, SEC office, and ESPN are all lying on him....gotcha.

ruthfully Florida would be giving up a home game on the 19th as well. They would have to cancel their OOC game on that date. This would not be rescheduled. It's not as if this scenario has no net negative effect on Florida.

Not worried about UF losing a home game. Not my problem.

which alternativeS ?

there is 1 rumored alternative (11/19) that makes no sense as a legitimate option at this point

what are the others?

Can we change the title of this thread now that we know that it was a "flatout lie"?

I changed it just for you. Now it says "ESPN Reported -"

LSU lost a home game last year, they don't want to lose another home game this year due to simple intransigence on the part of Florida - especially since it could have been worked out just like every single other game affected by the storm.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

is this about 11/19?

who in the SEC or the UF AD's office has commented about 11/19? link?

ESPN is going with a story that was reported by one guy (that the LSU AD denies)

There hasn't been an official release from UF or the SEC. It's one "source" who's citing both, but choosing to remain anonymous. On the flip side, LSU has released an official statement AND had the AD give an additional statement AND had the AD do a radio interview.

Bruh....all alternatives presented to this point have been presented by LSU....Flarda's only alternative was to cancel...which happened for some ungodly reason.

Think about this for a second.

A freaking high school game was able to be moved and worked out in the Gainesville area and yet the University of Florida cannot manage to do anything.

I haven't seen anything from the SEC Office that supports the claim that LSU rejected Nov 19th after discussions. So they haven't done anything as far as I know.

Also, ESPN wouldn't be lying by reporting what was told to them by their "source." Given the timing of the source, I think we can make a guess that the source was likely someone associated with UF. Especially since I seem to remember it coming out quite soon after Foley's press conference.

ESPN isn't lying per se. They just are trumpeting what was told to them so they can get the scoop and the clicks/revenue associated with it.

Which means that it's technically just the UF administration lying.

Because UF's AD never said this. Just some anonymous source at Florida being quoted by a hack reporter

I get that. Just seems that a lot of posters think that was an open date for Florida. It isn't.
