A freaking high school game was able to be moved and worked out in the Gainesville area and yet the University of Florida cannot manage to do anything.
.....That at least shows you that event coordination and contingency planning is completely lost in the state of Florida....hope I suppose.

Florida only said they would buy out Presbyterian so that wasn't an offer. An offer would have been to buy out Presbyterian and south Alabama and reimburse lsu all ticket and concession money

get that. Just seems that a lot of posters think that was an open date for Florida. It isn't.
Florida had all week to prepare for Plan B. They refused.LSU offered several alternatives including playing in GAINESVILLE Sunday or Monday . They refused.
LSU should not have to give up a home game, pay the buy out ,play 3 road games in 19 days (cause I'm real sure A&M would agree to move that game back to Saturday, right) to humor Florida so they don't lose an SEC home game.

Florida is lying because Florida was not going to accept any answer but cancel on the conference call. LSU said they would fly in and out but Florida didn't have an open mind even though Florida said open mind. That is a lie

Link to where the UF Administration and SEC office state that UF offered LSU 11/19 change? (I know ESPN reported it). But please provide where the other 2 did.

Foley is a giant POS. This game could have been played on sunday or monday, just like LSU did with TENN in 2005. Florida is joke and the SEC commish is a joke. LSU bent over backwards to make this game happen this weekend, Now espn is trying to paint LSU as the villian because they dont want to give a home game and play 3 straight road conference games in 13 days. I hope LSU stands firm. LSU shouldnt have to give a home game when this game could have been played. LSU 2005 moved and rescheduled 3 games due to katirna and rita. South Carloina moved its home game to Baton Rouge last year. Foley strong armed a weak SEC commish in to this and now the natioanl media is Painting LSU as the villian. gimme a break. LSU waas willing to fly a charter flight out there to pick them up support staff included and had hotel room set up for them, so Foley, shut up, you had options.

Truthfully Florida would be giving up a home game on the 19th as well. They would have to cancel their OOC game on that date. This would not be rescheduled. It's not as if this scenario has no net negative effect on Florida.
They wouldn't be loosing a home game. They would simply get LSU instead of Presbyterian, which lets be honest would dramatically increase revenue.

I could see this being considered. I'm sure calls are being made to try and sort out this clusterfrick. We have a game so it is a short week for us as well. All 3 of us were playing soft games that weekend so it was okay for both of us. I don't know if A&M will agree but it wouldn't surprise me if we did. The LSU UF game is more important than trying to keep a short week.

In this case Thanksgiving game doesn't work otherwise not sure why LSU hates it so much

No I'm telling you the only person thats commented on this is LSU's AD besides the liar from ESPN. UF nor SEC has commented.

Simple math:
Gators vs LSU home game
Gators vs Przyb. Home game
= 2 games
Gators vs LSU moved to 19th to replace Pryzb game
Gators vs Przyb canceled because they would play LSU on that day instead
Przyb not rescheduled
= 1 game

So how many home games will Florida have played this year?

SEC office confrimed that this story was complete horseshite.
Florida never offer the 19th as an option, and this is same idiot(mcmurphy) that had his account "hacked" yesterday, when he report that the game would be played in Tallahasee

You have to look at it with the realization that this game is already lost. UF would take LSU at home over Presbyterian any day of the week.

I can't believe you idiots are still arguing this. Here is what happened and it's really not up for debate.
UF intentionally dragged their feet because they did not want this game to happen. Everyone knew the storm was threatening. There was not a shift in the storms projected track on Wed night or Thur morning. In fact the only shift that occurred has been since the announcement of the cancellation actually making the game possible. The team is beat up and they wanted the rest. Winning that game does nothing for them and losing it takes them out of contention for the East. They have insurance for the lost home game. They're getting their money. If they had gone through with a game as scheduled or even on Sunday or Monday the revenue would have been nothing compared to what they'd get for a game where there wasn't a fricking Hurricane bearing down.
LSU offered anything and everything they could to to make the game happen. They offered to play in Gainesville on Sat, Sun, or even Mon. They offered to play in BR and even set up busses, charter planes and hotel accommodations for UF. Those offers were flatly refused by Foley. There was never any discussion about an 11/19 game on any of the conference calls.
There are only two possible scenarios that could have occurred. Either UF intentionally dragged their feet on the decision and expertly played Sankey and the SEC because they had zero desire to play LSU, or they were too stupid to realize that moving the game to Baton Rouge was really the only option to get the game in. There is no other possible explanation.

You are an idiot. You're probably one of those many LSU fans I keep seeing that think LSU is 2-2 right now.

Their best scenario was playing the game in Gainesville on Sat, Sun, or Mon. With the potential area damage in Florida and emergency crews loaded up... not sure it would be sensible to have scheduled the game for Sunday or even Monday.
And that is what LSU fans were saying while the UF "supermen" were downplaying the hurricane and calling LSU weak for not wanting to travel there. Your argument is completely invalid to the point you are trying to make.

Move your precious Cocktail Party to the 19th and schedule us in then.
I will bet neither Florida or Georgia will allow that as we both lose an important bye week before our biggest rival.
Besides Georgia should not be punished (losing our Bye before Florida) because of a situation involving Florida and LSU.
All the evidence shows LSU tried everything to move either the location or the date. Nov 19th will not work for them mainly because of the short turn around for facing A&M. Therefore Florida who refused to move the game to Monday or Sunday or a different location should get a forfeit IMO.
