LOL! I'm a Leach fan. He has a QB not on campus yet that is out of Texas and was #2 last year in passing yards. Had something like 57 TDs to 5 INTs and was a 4 year starter (13K yards total)

WRs are flocking to him. They are young.

So long at MSU puts the same defensive product on the field, he will compete on a regular basis.

My point is that his mouth gets him in trouble and the only way State puts up with it is if he get a lot of wins.

Because of LSU's early season defense. If your defense had not improved, I am not sure you guys win that game.

If they had a "last 4" FPI, LSU was probably way above Clemson.

We missed a chip shot FG and took a mercy knee. No one was out scoring us.

WTF? Is this for football? I love me some ML and think he will bounce back this year but #8 seems off.

I'm not sure but I think they use a formula to determine the best teams. I don't think it is intended as a prediction for how they will finish. I don't think they take into account that State plays in the tougher division of the toughest conference.

Uga seems low.

Given turnover and other distractions elsewhere in the SEC, they have a top 3 talented roster and a schedule that sets up well.

Win or lose vs Clemson, they should be in ATL and competitive for the CFPs.

You guys lose a lot more than we did. The extra covid year is huge for us. We bring back 9 contributors, many of them starters, that we wouldn't have otherwise.

They'll be top 10 when the regular preseason polls come out but 4 is a stretch and no way in hell is MSU. a top 10 team although I like their QB

I'm simply saying they return 19 starters off a team that beat 3 top 25 teams and lost by 3 to #6 and by 6 to number #10

So about 15th.

I don't want to say it's worthless, but returning starters isn't all that in college football. I think Alabama generally ranks at the bottom and near dead last in that stat.

Which is to say, talent being drawn in to start with is a big factor. And Alabama is not unique, many other teams do it also.

Sure there are cases where a 3 star ends up in the NFL and grows out etc. But it's not going to be an entire team.

So are they likely to beat Oklahoma next year? Not really. Oklahoma recruits at a much higher level. Maybe they can beat Oklahoma, but it's not likely.

And went 3-7 and only beat shitty Vanderbilt by 7 and Tulsa by 2. And got absolutely shut down by any team that dropped 8. But yeah State is totally a top 10 team

No. We are unique. No other college can do what we do. You and I both know that. For others, they rely on developing talent to have a chance.

Using Ms St for the example with Dak Prescott and that team. Ranked #1 for how long with a average ranking class of 34-40?

It matters a lot.

Again with Ms St. Proving you wrong.
