I don't see it as far fetched.

They lost 3 games by 7: Ark, UGA, and Ole Miss. 2 of those games were with a 44 player roster.

If Leach would have had a spring last year, he wins those 3 games.

Roger (QB and True Freshman) completed 69%. Has way more WR weapons now and Leach purged the non buy ins.

MSU has always had good to great defense.

I can see it.

Iowa State will have 19 starters from the Fiesta’s 34-17 victory against Oregon returning — 10 on offense and nine on defense. Only lost 3 game. One was by 3.

They Beat Oklahoma, and Texas both top 25. Won their bowl vs 25th ranked Oregon.

Yeah, what do they know that we don't?

I like Leach but that seems far fetched.

When LSU beat Clemson by 3 scores to finish 15-0 the FPI still had Clemson ahead.

That Win Out probability just shows how easy the ACC is. Alabama is 5 points higher than Clemson but has only 16% chance to win out as opposed to Clemson's 21%.

Because of LSU's early season defense. If your defense had not improved, I am not sure you guys win that game.

If they had a "last 4" FPI, LSU was probably way above Clemson.

It's a nice walk through the park with them.

They are still grossly over ranked. 15th is about where they should be. What you didn't value enough were their 3 losses.

The FPI is junk. It's heavily influenced by humans.

Per Sports writers and fans:

1- Best WR corp that MS St has ever had with a returning QB that completed 69% of his passes

2- They started True Freshmen at skilled positions. 2 RBs, 2 Wrs, QB... All are back.

3- The OL is back.

4- The Defense will be improved.

That brings us to Leach. 20.4 points a game in his debut at Washington State in ’12, the Cougars upped that total to 31.0 in ’13.

If he does that at MSU, They will be scoring in the 40s. Had he had his spring, they win 3 more than they did last year.

If Leach is to be successful it will be this year. Now or never for him. I think he wins 10+ games.

It's possible. Last year due to covid makes things harder in some cases.

Opinions. Everybody has them.

Like their 3 point loss to number 6?

I'm simply saying they return 19 starters off a team that beat 3 top 25 teams and lost by 3 to #6 and by 6 to number #10

LOL! I'm a Leach fan. He has a QB not on campus yet that is out of Texas and was #2 last year in passing yards. Had something like 57 TDs to 5 INTs and was a 4 year starter (13K yards total)

WRs are flocking to him. They are young.

So long at MSU puts the same defensive product on the field, he will compete on a regular basis.
