I know I didn't watch because of my YouTubeTV subscription. They better hurry up or Hulu it is.

With the blackout on YT TV, I’m actually astonished it only fell half a point. YT TV is in a ton of households.

and the quality is worse since it doesn’t have the multi-view.

I had two people tell me the stream quality is also a notch below YoutubeTV. Yay or nay?

The show is awful now

Pat McCafee is unbearable, honestly seems like he's coked up half the time

Herbsteit has become a total ESPN shill, and just not entertaining anymore

Saban is a great analyst, but his unique coaching perspective is just lost on such a clown show around him

I know McAfee has supposedly brought in a younger audience and all of that. .
He has made it unbearable for me. He is just a big bore when he goes to acting up like an 8th grade boy that is showing off.

Heard the same.

Sling is the worst. But unless you have a very high quality TV, you won’t know the difference.

Hulu is supposedly next

YT TV is a little better.

Direct TV stream is supposed to be the best. I have DTV stream and enjoy it so far. It HAS buffered during a game before, if it continues that, I’m out. I know it’s not on my end because nothing else buffers and it only does it during a heavily watched sporting event.

Well it coincides with Alabama's yearly bye week so it's only natural viewership drops

I wonder how many youtubetv subscribers on this site have ditched them and purchased a cheaper package from ESPN?

I barely watch game day anymore.

The show is simply too long and padded out.

There's like an hour of content stretched into three.

I'm going to be busy all day Saturday watching football I need my Saturday morning to be productive I can't afford to spend 3 hours watching commercials and the same exact little bits I've seen a thousand times before. Make the show an hour or an hour and a half and I might actually watch it

Same here. I’ve had it for years. Three of our rooms have satellite boxes because the wife doesn’t want to go all out cord cutter. She likes her hallmark shite and knows what channel it is. I ditched the movie channels and use DIRECTV stream in the patio room and it’s delayed, but it’s still pretty clear

Wonder what the big noon kickoff numbers were like. Wonder if they were higher as a result of this

Edit:

Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff pregame show had its second-largest audience of the season, averaging 2.39 million viewers in its final hour.

LINK

Answered. Fox just took ESPNs viewers last weekend for the pregame show

Disney owns Hulu so that’s precisely their plan… drive subscribers to either Hulu or the ESPN Unlimited app.

I hate that the SEC partnered with Disney/ESPN. The sooner we can spread our games across a couple different networks, the less of a stranglehold ESPN will have on our sport.

OK 2 fairly decent teams against 2 teams that have fired their coaches mid-season? Not exactly must-see-TV.

We shall see. Completely anecdotal, but ESPN is showing record profits this year. They made the dispute decision at a natural dip point for ratings and are still above last year. Just look at those ready to switch services or get apps here to ensure viewing.

I don't agree YouTube holds the leverage, as Disney holds the product in demand.

Since I can now get the games OTA via ABC, a YTTV or Sling subscription would be for CGD alone and it isn't worth the cost to me anymore. Doubt I'm the only one. Doesn't really make sense to me why they don't include it in their Saturday broadcast lineup. The ad revenue would go up on their end.

I've never thought to look, does the SEC network have a Saturday morning gameday show?

Where they go affects the viewership. They will have more stories focusing on those teams. Not a good idea to go outside the SEC or B1G right now.

Yes. Starts an hour later than CGD starts.

It was also Cincinatti vs Utah.

Teams with bigger fanbases hosting gameday = bigger gameday viewing.
