Realistically they have LSU at 11 and Tenn at 10

They didn't calculate Bama's titles, nor anyone elses. They listed the titles that the NCAA recognizes on their site for everyone (at least the FBS teams).
Some examples...
Bama claims 17; ESPN lists 15.
Notre Dame claims 11; ESPN lists 14.
LSU claims 3; ESPN lists 4.

you're giving credit to a list that has yale and NDSU as top 10 cfb programs of all time. Of course it's going to be wrong.

Not really. Ohio State is really the only blueblood to avoid any sort of prolonged downturn in the last 50 years. Alabama, USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Michigan, Texas have all had down periods of at least 5-7 years. Ohio State's longest one since 1969 was 1987-1991 when they went 6-4-1, 4-6-1, 8-4, 7-4-1, 8-4 (33-22-3). If that is your dark age you are doing pretty well.
They've finished in the Top Ten 28 of their last 51 seasons. They've won 75% or more of their games in 41 of their last 51 seasons. They've had 2 losing seasons in their last 51 seasons. They've finished ranked 40 of their last 51 seasons.
They are the most consistent program in college football over the last half decade.

LSU was 12th nationally in number of NCAA football victories and 9th in bowl appearances"" B-E-F-O-R-E""" Saban arrived in 2000.
Although I think now you meant that since 2003, LSU would probably be in the Top 3 or 4 with Bama, Oklahoma and Ohio State...

Only 15 National Titles? I’m being told regularly that it’s anywhere from 17-22 including 2 and 3 loss seasons. It’s like Auburn claiming 1993 and 2004.

UGA won 2 others...1942 and 1946 to go with 1980.
