He does not. At least there’s no evidence of that.

Never said he’s a sure thing. I said he could potentially win you a lot of money with +4000 odds. UF offense still has a ton of playmakers and i think he can put some big numbers.

He’s averaged over 6 yards per carry the last two years when the entire stadium knew he was about to run. He has a very slippery elusive running style and is going to surprise people.

Also Mullen’s not going to just run him right up the middle like Tebow every play lol. That’s what Anthony Richardson is for anyway…

If the dude can make correct 1-2 reads (again easier said that done) he’s going to put up massive numbers.

Needs to be utilized in a Jalen Hurts outside zone read concept as opposed to a Dak Prescott/Tim Tebow power run game. Think he’s going to be very impressive but will not last an entire season running up the gut at 210 pounds.

You really can never tell about a guy until he is “the guy”. Uf just has so many question marks this year.
Losing Toney and Pitts will hurt no doubt. But if there is a position Florida typically reloads at it is WR. Pitts is a generational talent, though.

There were times that Emory Jones looked really, really good, though. I suspect he will be fine for UF. It's tough to go into a game for 3-4 plays at a time and perform well. Timing with receivers etc doesn't just come and go instantly. Now that he is the man, he will have more confidence and be able to develop the chemistry needed. Like you said....until a QB becomes "the man" it's tough to say.

You kind of did. here is your OP:
Emory Jones is going to shock some people this year. Get your bets in now and make some cash! Heisman +4000

1. 4.3 speed
2. Cannon arm
3. #3 ranked QB in 2018 after Trevor Lawrence and Justin ?? Fields
4. Developing under Mullen for 3 seasons.
5. Last Duel Threat QB Mullen coached was Nick Fitzgerald and Dak. You can make a case Emory has more talent than either.
6. Say what you want about Dan. But he knows how to develop a quarterback.

I don't see the word "potentially" anywhere in there.

I do agree there. Jones has a lot of potential. I know we wanted hi at one point. We felt he needed some seasoning (which he did) but felt he could be very good. We'll have to wait to see if he lives up to your hype, though.

I do agree that Florida has a lot of play makers and potential. If Grantham can improve the defense Florida could be very dangerous. If the defense struggles and Jones struggles the wheels could come off fast.

Honestly? I think Jones does very well but the defense struggles. (I am not a Grantham fan)

Emory Jones has looked more like Denard Robinson than Lamar Jackson to date.

His wheels can hurt you but unless his accuracy improves significantly there is only so much you can do as a one read QB against the better defenses in even in 2021.

Nick Fitzgerald: 1,800 yards passing 52% completion rate 16-9 TD-INT, 1,100 yards rushing…. I can see Jones putting up similar numbers.

That would put up around 3,000 yards of O around 90 rushing yards a game and 150 passing yards average. He’s what 6-1or 6-2 and under 200 pounds right? Can he last a whole season of 15 carries a game? He should be fresh and healthy with 3 years of riding the pine.

Not fair to call Jones a 1 read QB yet. Not a big enough sample size to make that determination.

He won't be Trask but hopefully he won't be a 1 read kinda guy like Franks either.

I think he's a little underrated. He sees the field better than he gets credit for and he definitely has a solid arm.
