I think LSU was the victim of a Lynch mob. No due process. No evidence. Just a temper tantrum by the hypocritical assholes of the conferences. So "One strike and you're out " is the new threshold. LSU didn't even have a strike since neither player signed contracts with LSU or were ever rostered.
The SEC made a sham out of the whole process and the rest of the country knows it.
You must be a pollyanna who thinks that the Universities really give a crap about the welfare of the athletes. After all, it took them until 2013 to provide free meals and snacks to the athletes. It was until a couple of years later that he gave the kids a stipend for the "full cost of attendance" and, of course, they fought tooth and nail not to allow players to receive NIL benefits or revenue sharing.
This isn't about governance, it's about protecting their fiefdom.

The LSU football team did get some parenting. Lane did a good job getting them organized and playing disciplined football. So much better than the last several years.

Lol…it’s always like that in September for LSU…two losses and by mid October the “I quit” mentality and history of LSU will be in full force. Empty stadiums, players quitting, excuse me, “opting out,” relegated to do drop in Mud Bowl. Lol. Been that way all decade. Crickets from Lane and the LSU T-shirt fans.
