It’s crazy seeing ole miss at the top of the list. I love it

Hell of a run - 6 titles in major sports, 6 different schools.

How legitimate is that 1939 football championship of A&M?

I get where you went.. and it’s funny. But aTm doesn’t deserve that. The song is way too good.

Things I think about as I read this post...
-It's good that UGA fans don't have to go back to the 80's any more for a championship in these three sports.
(Actually, we would have just missed the 80's had we not won the CFB championship this year. Baseball champs in 1990.)
- Tubby Smith has as many national championships at Kentucky as John Calipari.
- If not for Cam, where would Auburn be on this list?
- We should probably use 1998 to replace 1980 rather than 1939.
- Nolan Richardson was a great basketball coach.
- Mizzou has put up some good teams, but it's understandable why they haven't won a championship in a long time.
- A&M not so much. Though I don't really get why we go back from 1980 to 1939. A&M isn't as historically significant in football as UGA and certainly not Tennessee. I guess right now with recruiting and the collective they are in better shape than Tennessee. But Tennessee's disappearance from relevance over the last two decades plus is far more mind boggling than A&M just continuing to be who they are.

that’s such a great song. I hope you didn’t just ruin it for me. Now I’m gonna think of this post next time I listen to it.

We should pull a Kansas and claim 2020 baseball since we finished #1 in the polls.

Well they were voted #1 in the AP poll.

What I love most about this thread is it looks visually like you probably used the correct number of spaces in the gaps. I’m not gonna get my hopes up that you actually did but it’s close and it’s beautiful

No there is no replacing 1980, Tennessee hasn't won one in a while but they also have fielded terrible teams since Fulmer left, and aTm has never been a tier 1 football program in my lifetime, it'd be akin to picking on Maryland for not winning a football title since the 50s
