I'm just talking about in general. Seeing all these 1st and 2nd year players at big schools transfer en masse is insane. Like what did they expect? They committed to a school stacked with other blue chip players. If waiting their turn was going to be an issue, maybe commit to a smaller school where that wouldn't be an issue out of high school.

I saw a graphic yesterday that 2707 players had already entered the portal, which represents 25% of all players. That's crazy. That same graphic said 30% of the players who entered last year never got signed by another school

I think some of them probably show up thinking they can win the job. Then they don't and they move on. Dylan apparently had a nice spring and fall last year and the coaches gave him some run during the QB competition, it just didn't end up happening.

Wouldn't be shocked if he ended up at a smaller P4 or solid G5 and had a nice 2 year career. Throws a good ball.

These players get told all during recruiting how amazing they are and how the coaches just love their skill sets and how they will be used.

Than they get to practice and the coaches have completed changed tunes.

Some also just assume they can just beat out anyone else and earn the starting job and when that doesn't pan out they want to jump ship to the next place.

I always heard Saban was really good at telling kids the truth during recruitment but he still had his fair share that thought they would be the next mega star first day on campus
