re: What am I missing re. Landry

Ohio State fans wanted Ryan Day fired after he lost to Michigan last year. So what? The Governor of Ohio should have stepped in and axed him? All the guy did was go on to win the national title.

Someone else already pointed it out. Landry wanted to make a national news story so he could make the rounds and do interviews and be on tv.

Pro Landry people on here are deflecting by saying "oh if you are complaining it's only because he's right wing and you think everything he does is wrong" and honestly the same can be said for people defending him. Coaches get fired every year, high profile coaches get fired every year. Never do you hear stories about the Governor being involved.

I mean he outright lied multiple times during his press conference.

And there is a huge difference between wanting coach fired and wanting a politician to be involved in it.

Also, remember that this isn't a one off deal with him getting involved in LSU. Temu Tiger, the basketball team, and a lot more. The guy seems to want to embarrass LSU every chance he gets.

Superman isn't some super invincible God. He's a boy from Kansas who just wants to help people. Sometimes people forget that. I'm hoping this movie reminds us that at the end of the day superheroes are super because they help people, not because they have fantastical powers.
In & Out ('97)

A straight man is gaslit into believing that he is gay and in the process loses his fiance and job but it's ok because he's gay.
We just watched Arkansas choke away a game because of errors and LSU almost choked it away because of errors and you want to take out our best defensive infielder?
Yeah pair that with the outfielder slipping after being indecisive and damn Arkansas really chokes.

I have never seen such a snake bitten team before. Holy hell I would feel bad for them if it wasn't for it being at the benefit of LSU.
Nah half the Rant could out coach him easily.
There is two different arguments going on here.

1: fricking kids is messed up regardless of age and society would be better off without those people in it.

2: fricking kids is messed up BUT the age of the kid should be a factor because it's not as bad if the child is older and more mature.

I fall into the "if a 40 year old man or woman is fricking kids they should rot under a jail regardless if the child was 1 or 15", but that's just me.
"Yes your honor, she may be only 14 but she's a very mature 14. In fact some might even say I was the victim here."

I am not shocked at all that people on TD are trying to argue that some child sex is better than other child sex and made that others don't agree.
You regularly use the phrase "if there is grass on the field, play ball".
I get the impression that you complain online when underage characters in movies/video game isn't hot enough for you.
I am a big defender of Marvel and I am fanboy #1 on this board for Captain America.

With that said the reshoots are clearly outside the normal. It was jarring how visible the reshoots were in Brave New Order and really hurt a fantastic movie. Anthony Mackie has been screwed by the current creative team behind Marvel along with piss poor luck.
Although I hated the movie, everyone else loved Pan's Labyrinth (Spain).

I really liked Amelie and A Monster in Paris (animated), which are both French films. Obviously the GOAT French films is the Professional.

The Passenger is Italian film that is fantastic with a young Jack Nicholas starring in it.

Das Boot is a great German film.

Japan has some fantastic movies but most of my recommendations would be animated films from them

And India has Bollywood, which is it's own category of movies. The best mainstream example I can give to dip your toes in would be RRR.

I'm probably forgetting a dozen others but those were the first ones that popped into my mind.

Edit* damn I knew I would forget something. City of God was recommended and I strongly urge to give it a watch as well. It is such a good movie.
That scene is so great. I know everyone loves the Batman trilogy but that movie is still my favorite.

Awesome. I really enjoyed DeadPool/Wolverine. Reynolds seems like one of the few actors/directors not influenced by the trend of destroying their movie by filling it with woke crap and not staying loyal to the source material. So I am hopefully optimistic.

I'm taking it you never watched the Deadpool movies.

When we are going on family trips, we absolutely borrow movies from the library for the car DVD players so the kids have stuff to watch. Libraries are underrated for media.
