Yeah that is a no. DC is traditional more colorful and fun. It's why people were pissed with Snyder's Superman movie.

Damn I wanted to make this joke but got beat to the punch.
Also someone mentioned Taskmaster and Ghost scissoring? Did that scene leak online as well? Asking for a friend.

Wimps.
My boys wrestle. We will spend 7 hours at a gym and between 2 to 4 matches we have we are on the mat for maybe two minutes of that 7 hours. We try to go to a tournament every weekend.

When Weinstein’s Miramax acquired Princess Mononoke, he demanded the 135-minute film be cut down to 90 minutes for a “more marketable” release.
Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki responded by sending him a samurai sword engraved with two words: “No cuts.”
Furious, Weinstein threatened their careers, but Miyazaki held the rights - and his ground. The film was released exactly as intended.

I mean if them saying they modeled the uniform after the Nazis uniform isn't a dead giveaway that they are implying the Americans are Nazis, I can't really help you. I don't need them to be cartoonishly evil to understand what is going on.
But I can understand that you saw cool explosions and boobs so to you there is no way they are bad guys.

If Dom helps Liv win, it's not cheating. It's just fixing the rules for the proper outcome.

If I get God Emperor Doom in the MCU, I will excuse so much shite from the past decade. I loved Secret Wars and all the spin off titles

Malco is showing it here in Gonzales, which Malco always does a great job showing religious films. I took my boys and we enjoyed it. I hope this movie has a very solid showing and maybe it will encourage the production company to advertise their films more.

5 out of 5 for Sunday Mania, no notes. Give Triple H an extension.

Dude I try to be open to diversity and I recognize this changes the tone of the story.
Imagine if they made a live action Tarzan and cast Mahershala Ali as Tarzan. He's a fantastic actor and could have a great performance but it would be awkward to watch him act like a monkey on screen.

I'm not the one crying about a girl being in my movie.

I'm siding with fat kid on this one. Making him black will have racial undertones whether they intend to have it or not.
It's no different from if they did a live action Dragon ball movie and race swapped Goku to a black man. How will audiences feel when he transforms into a giant monkey? Yes it is what happens in the story and happens because of his alien biology but having a black man turn into a monkey in 2025 would not fly over well. Same thing here.

The guy grew up near a German military base in the Netherlands during WWII. I'ma go out on a limb and suggest he has a decent idea of what fascism looks like.

The only comparison I can see to Nazism is the uniforms look kind of similar.
Yes looks similar to.
quote:
Iconography inspired by the German Nazi regime and Italian National Fascist Party appear throughout Starship Troopers as symbols of the United Citizen Federation (UCF). The UCF flag, bearing an eagle, resembles the Nazi coat of arms; officer uniforms are similar to those worn by the Nazi secret police—the Gestapo—including the insignia, and the symbol on infantry uniforms references Benito Mussolini's Blackshirts.[21][25] Neumeier said the Nazi uniforms were used
Again they don't need to beat me over the head with "guys these are Nazis" for me to go "I think these guys are Nazis".

Because they thought the movie had too many white guys and wanted more diversity so they made the silver guy a chick and the white male be played by a guy named Pedro.
They made Nick Fury black. They made Heimdall black. They made Valkyrie a way more important character than she ever was in the comics.
Those all worked and helped them push their diversity. They also have countless examples of trying to push diversity and it failing because it feels like the starting point was to be diverse and the next step was to try and create content.
What we have to hope is they started with a great script and added diversity onto it later without bringing down the quality. Plenty of movies and shows have had awesome diverse cast and be fantastic. The problem is their track record recently hasn't shown that to be the case. They appear to be trying to appeal to a wider fan base in hopes of keeping their billion dollar movies rolling and instead they made subpar quality films because the focus wasn't on story first, it was making content pointed toward certain groups.

I always find it funny that a critique of the movie is "he made the Nazis look too cool so I didn't know I wasn't supposed to root for them".
I didn't need the Nazis to be cartoonishly evil to know not to side with the Nazis.
